Gorgeous Bright Room in Lower Clapton

We are looking for a new housemate to join us in our lovely 4-bed house on Mildenhall Road, Lower Clapton.

We are all young professionals working in mixed creative industries: music /film / music publication / communications but are open to people from many walks of life. We're inclusive and open-minded, LGBTQ+ friendly, and v much welcome people from all backgrounds. It is a friendly and social house, where everyone enjoys hanging out and having their friends over. In the past two years, a few of the things our current household have ended up doing together include: going to Primavera, many car boots, dinners, Sunday cinema drips, gigs for artists like Caroline Polachek, Rosalia and Amaarae. But it is also quiet and independent enough to be in your own bubble when you need. We're looking for a friendly person also working full-time to join the house.

The room is a beautiful bright double on the second floor, with 2 windows, and furnished with a double bed and wardrobe, although this can be a little flexible. There are two toilets and two showers (one that doubles as a bath), as well as a huge airy living room, next to a little room that doubles as a study/storage area, which overlooks the street.

If you love green spaces it's perfect: it's 5 mins walk to Hackney Downs, 10 min walk to Hackney Marshes; 5 mins to Millfields park; 15 mins cycle to Hackney Wick, 20 mins cycle to London Fields - very perfect for the summer! It's super well connected, with Clapton Station a 12 min walk away, Hackney Central a 15 min walk away. Dalston and Stoke Newington / Newington Green are easily walkable too. Our closest stations are Hackney Central and Clapton Staton, but we are also right by tonnes of buses including night buses. Surrounded by loads of organic/vegan shops, as well as the all-important small supermarkets, and the area is packed with pubs.

ACCESSIBILITY: There is one set of steps up to the front door, 3 steps into the house entrance (where the kitchen/dining and first bathroom are), another 3 up to the living room, and one half flight of stairs to your room.

The new contract starts on the 7th of December.
Rent is 1050 pcm but we all pay about 100 extra per month into a joint account and this pretty much covers all bills (wifi, council tax etc). This mostly covers gas and electric too, but as this comes quarterly very rarely we have to fork out just a little bit more. Deposit is 1 months rent.
