Description
I am renting out a double bedroom in my flat in Mile End. Rent is £950 / month and includes utilities (gas, electricity, broadband, water). One month rent deposit as well as last month rent required. I'm a live-in landlady.
When is the room available?
I have a lovely lodger who's lived with me for more than 4 years but she will be moving out towards the end of January (around Jan 26) to go back to New Zealand. If you need to move in sooner you can stay in my room as I'll be traveling from Dec 14 till February.
Length of stay:
No specific time length. If we get along, the occupancy can continue on a rolling monthly basis.
The room:
Furnished with a double bed, night stand, desk and chair, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a bookshelf. The room is east facing so it's nice and sunny in the morning.
The flat:
Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. We will share the large bathroom. Open plan kitchen and living room with a window wall and access to a large balcony (4x2 meters). Balcony has a table and chairs and lots of plants. The flat is located on the second floor with a lift access. The building is 4 floors. It's located in a quiet neighbourhood.
The neighbourhood:
Very close to good public transport connections with fast and easy access to Central London. 7 min to Mile End station (Central, District and Hammersmith & City lines) as well as busses. Close to food stores - 7 mins to Co-op, 8 mins to Tesco Express, 9 mins to a large Lidl with a large fruit and veg selection. There are also smaller shops - off-licence around the corner, as well as lots of food stores on Burdett Road. Starbucks and Costa coffee if you want to work from a coffee shop are 7mins away. Mile End Park is 3 mins from home and from there you can enjoy the beautiful walks by the canal. Swimming pool is 3 mins. Tower Hamlet Cemetery park is 3 mins and is probably one of my favourite parks. Pubs: favourite one is Coborn Arms, 10 mins. There are other pubs and restaurants within walking distance as well.
About myself:
I'm a professional female in the Software/IT space. I work remotely so I work from the kitchen/living room or more rarely the balcony if the weather is good. I'm into outdoor sports and fitness. I also kitesurf so during the summer I go for day trips on windy days or I travel abroad for better year-round wind conditions. I might be gone from time to time for a month or two at a time (mainly Fuerteventura).
I used to have a cat who now lives with good friends of mine. When they visit me they sometimes bring her over but I feel she doesn't care about me anymore (and why would she!).
Don't hesitate to contact me if you need more details around the room and flat :)
