Description
We have a lovely double room available in our friendly 5-bed house share on a quiet street set inside Mile End Park.
The House
The house is a gem with a large open plan kitchen/diner/lounge, a versatile basement which is used as storage/laundry room/movie room with projector, two full bathrooms, a lovely garden as well as a terrace on the first floor for that extra bit of sunshine.
The amenities include: washing machine, dishwasher, two fridges, microwave, a well-equipped kitchen, communal house ‘stuff’, high speed internet and a projector.
The Room
The room is a lovely light filled double located on the ground floor, with large windows overlooking the garden. It’s furnished with a wardrobe, bed and bedside table/draws, we also have a few pieces of extra furniture in the basement which you are welcome to!
Rent includes all bills, but we occasionally have to put in a little extra in winter months for gas, as we’ve found this year.
The flat is let by a considerate private landlord, who’s always able to send out his handyman same day if needed.
The Area
Zone 2 Mile End, right next to the Tube Station and good transport links. We also have a Santander docking station at our doorstep.
The house is on a quiet no-through road, a stone’s throw from the canal and Mile End Park, and a short walk away from Victoria Park. We are really lucky with such a friendly residential street, and our neighbours are always helpful picking up parcels or taking out our bins if we forget!
The Existing Housemates
There are currently 2 girls and 2 boys living in the house: Meg, Karen, Oisín, and Henrik. We are busy independent people who work 9-5 but like going out together for a drink at times, watching TV or chatting in the evenings. We have the odd occasion here and there where we have a bbq/drinks at the house. We have all met through spare room but we’ve all become good friends, so are looking for someone who likes that way of living!
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a fellow professional who is sociable & laid back but still clean & tidy to come and join us in this lovely house. Any gender is welcome, the only requirement is that you have a permanent job contract, as the landlord requires this.
More info
Please message us a bit about yourself if you think you'd be a good fit! We’re hoping to show people round w/c 6th May, potentially the week after too, so please let us know when you’re available too!
