Description
Hi everyone!
I am moving back to the warehouse district so this room in a very homely terrace is available.
The Housemates:
I am blessed to have lived with these people for the last 6 months! Ravi, Lexi, and Saz are all such fantastic people. Ravi is a just out of uni and searching for jobs in writing, while also aspiring to DJ. Saz is on the hunt for PhD opportunities related to Madagascar after her post-colonial studies masters, and Lexi is finishing off her biology PhD.
They're all really clever but all properly funny. The vibes are extremely chill with laughter streaming out of the kitchen most days. Not a party house but having friends round and hosting dinners is all good.
This is a LGBTQ+ friendly house; living here gave me a supportive and stable home base to realise a lot of gender related things about myself, and all three of these people played a significant role in this discovery. Whether you're queer or not, these are good people:)
The House:
5 minutes to Mile End station for the central, district, and hammersmith and city lines. Extremely well connected and I will miss this very much.
Despite being so central and close to the tube, the road itself is very quiet and peaceful. Most of the neighbours know each other which is quite cute, and they're quite generous in giving things away/offering things to borrow.
The house itself is a great size for 4 people, with a lounge, decent size kitchen, and a garden out the back. You never really feel on top of each other.
The Room:
Appologies for the clutter in the photos but I hope it shows that you can fit quite a lot into the space. The fact I can fit a drum kit in the room should let you know that it's a good size!
It gets fantastic light all day but especially in the mornings. As the room faces south so you get a wonderful golden glow to start your day.
It is the only room in the house with double glazing which was installed last month. The room can get quite damp though (shocker for England) so I would recommend a dehumidifier.
The room will come unfurnished, and possibly without a mattress. When I moved in I had to buy one so I may be taking it with me, I'm currently in discussions with the landlady to get one for the new tennant. However, if I don't take mine then I'll happily sell it on to you.
Details:
- Monthly total is £852.90
- Rent is £735 and has gone up fairly recently so won't be changing any time soon.
- Bills are currently £117.90 and that includes everything, council tax (band D), internet, water, heating, electric etc.
- Deposit is one months rent at £735.
If you're a friendly and considerate person looking to be part of a warm and chatty home then please get in touch! I know how stressful moving is so if you've sent me a message I WILL get back to you. I'm going to let the messages come in for a few days before I sort through them.
Viewings will be on Sunday the 15th (all day) and Monday the 16th (evening) of February.
