HOUSEHOLDER
A lovely lady in her 80’s lives in a 2-bedroom house in Mill Hill, Barnet, London.
This lady is very fortunate to have 3 lovely daughters to take care of and check in on their mum regularly. The family are very close and very supportive. Though they do spend a lot of time with each other, they do have concerns about their mum living alone and being alone during the nights.
The lady’s routine consists of waking up, taking medication, putting hearing aids on, and then going to have breakfast. Her routine is quite flexible, the days with no plans, she will stay in bed a little longer and will take her time doing things. Most days, there is no routine. She is happy to wake up and potter around her home and enjoy staying home. However, sometimes when at home, she requires small prompts reminding her to eat regular meals.
This is a kosher household, and the homeowner and her family would want this to remain a kosher household once the most suitable homesharer has been matched. She once loved to cook but has recently lost that passion. She has lost her passion to want to cook for herself. Her family are hoping that if the homesharer cooks, this could help reawaken that passion in their mother to start cooking again.
She has a great sense of humour and enjoys being around people and family, and likes to go out with friends and, every so often, hosts her U3A group meetings in her home. She enjoys going on short walks, painting and is part of a book club.
She and her family are attracted to homesharing as they like the idea of having an extra presence in the house who is able to offer some support to their mother with the added reassurance of having overnight presence and some companionship.
The ideal homesharer would be a female in her 30’s+, someone who will be able to sometimes cook or prepare an evening meal and sometimes share an evening meal.
Someone kind and compassionate, has a sense of humour, is easy-going and patient, and is clean and tidy. Can offer patience, companionship and most importantly an overnight presence. Someone who can offer interaction in a positive way.
Would prefer the homesharer to be a non-smoker and would not consider anyone with pet/s.
Would suit an individual interested in offering some light support, companionship and overnight presence.
