Large Double Room + All Bills (incl. council tax)

Hello,

I'm currently offering my double room in this flat jointly owned by myself and my brother. I moved out a couple of years ago to live with my now wife up North so I’m looking for a lodger to live with my brother and his partner (who share the other room) and their majestic cat (see photo).

The room comes furnished and is offered at £900pcm with all bills included in the price: electricity (the property does not use gas), water, internet, TV license, and council tax.

The flatmates you will be living with are my brother who has a hybrid working arrangement with some days in the office and a few days working from home in the living room, while the latter is a teacher so obviously works in a school during the week.

You will also be sharing with Simba the cat, who is a quiet enough flatmate unless he's dying for attention, at which point he may meow at your door to be let in for a harmless wander.

We're looking for someone who is quiet and respectful, happy to socialise with the other flatmates but also doesn't mind spending time in their room. The room you will be renting is far larger than the other and, whilst you're more than welcome to use the living room, ultimately the other flatmates have priority due to the size of their room. The other flatmates are also avid cyclists so early nights and early mornings are the norm.

The area is served by New Cross Gate station (a 10-15 min walk) which has Overground services to Highbury & Islington and Crystal Palace and National Rail services to London Bridge and East Croydon. There is a massive Sainsbury’s supermarket near New Cross Gate station and also a very well-stocked One Stop round the corner from the flat.

Please note, as one of the landlords of the property will be living with you, you will be a lodger as opposed to a tenant. As part of the viewing there will be an informal interview to see if you would be a good fit for the flat.
