We have a large double bedroom available from 1st December. You will be taking the place of a previous tenant on the lease, which expires in mid-August 2025.
The flat is the bottom floor of a two-storey building, with a spacious living room, a kitchen and a hallway with storage space. We live below a very friendly young and have nice relationships with our similarly-aged neighbours. The room itself is at the back of the house and is the largest in the flat, with plenty storage space of it’s own. The bathroom is not enormous, but very functional and easy to keep clean. We also have full remit of the garden!
📍8 mins from New Cross gate station, with full access to east and north London from there. We are also no more than a 20 minute walk away from Peckham, Deptford, Bermondsey and Brockley/Lewisham.
🦽this is an excessible flat with no steps in the property on our level bar a small step into the garden. There is ample furniture and some space on the road for parking if you drive.
In terms of criteria and logistics, unfortunately you will be unable to be formally on the lease as the landlord will not pay the fee to replace the name as it currently stands. The precious tenant is well and truly moved out however, so you will not be subletting from someone else in effect - the space will be entirely your own.
About us: myself (Kiana, 25) and my housemate (Conor, 25) are both professionals with busy enough working lives, but we lounge around on the weekends and have people over for dinner on the weekends. We like to keep the space clean and nicely designed to create a homely and friendly environment. We are both queer-friendly and progressive, with Conor working in human rights law and myself having worked in publishing and the arts for a number of years.
Ideally we’d seek a young professional who is already somewhat established in London, but obviously open to all genders, ages and sexualities! We have ten months or so left on this lease and hope for it to be as smooth and pleasant as possible. I own a beautiful cat named Iggy so if you’re pet friendly like myself and Conor that would be ideal🐈⬛
