Spare Room Available in New Cross – From 1st Apr 🌿

Hey! We’ve got a spare room available from 1st April in our lovely all-girls shared house in New Cross and we’re looking for a fab new housemate in their mid 20’s to join us.

The room:

- Unfurnished (Happy to sell on the dresser and desk/chair for cheap if interested)

- Garden-facing room, so it’s nice and quiet with lots of privacy

- Really cosy space with lots of natural light

- Maintains heat in colder months and stays very cool during the summer

- Regularly used to work from home, though space is a bit small. We also have a downstairs table and comfy couches to use for working from home!

The house:

- Shared with a friendly group of 3 other girls aged 24-26
- Located on a quiet, safe residential street
- Schools and churches nearby, so the area feels calm and community-focused
- Shared kitchen and living room
- Bathroom shared with 2 of the other girls
- Free street parking available if you have a car

Location & transport:

- Bus stop 3-minute walk - buses towards Vauxhall, London Bridge, Waterloo, elephant and castle for further connections, or further southeast to Lewisham, Blackheath and Greenwich

- Overground - 10 minutes walk to New Cross Gate or Queens Road Peckham which connect directly to Clapham junction

- Southwark Park & Peckham Rye about 15 minutes away

- Greenwich Park & Blackheath common also just a few km away – great for longer Sunday strolls

- Supermarkets nearby: Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury's

Rent:

- £750 per month

- deposit £807.5

- Bills roughly £100 per month in winter, cheaper in summer

- The house came unfurnished when we moved in August 2023. We bought the main necessities together so the new person moving in would need to take over their share of the furniture which is around £200 (Sofas, table, TV etc.). Then you part own all the furniture in the house.

We’re looking for a like-minded female housemate who’s easy-going, tidy, and happy in a shared home. Social but also respectful of each other’s space. We’re a friendly household and, although we all have our own social lives and work routines, we enjoy winding down together in the living room, watching films and TV, going for the occasional weekend coffee or walk, and catching up while cooking in the evenings!

We are hoping to host in person or virtual viewings on Monday 23rd, Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th February (between 7-8:30pm) but can be flexible if you’re not available those days.
