Description

Looking for a peaceful, well-connected home in New Cross? I’m looking for a flatmate to join me and my cat, Halloumi, in our 2-bed flat.

The Logistics
• Availability: Super flexible! Whether you need 3 months, 6 months, or a longer stay, we can make it work.
• Timeline: The sublet is available until June 2027 (some flexibility here but no later than September)!
• Rent: £800 per month, bills included. (Note: We might top this up by £25 in winter if we aren't being mindful of heating).
• Location: 12-14 mins from New Cross Overground. 10 mins to Sainsbury’s. Amazing bus links (Old Kent Rd/New Cross Rd) make getting Central incredibly cheap and easy. I get to work through bus in 45mn

The Flat
A cosy, quiet spot in a residential, familial area.
• The Vibe: Peaceful and "familial." Not a party house, but a great place to unwind. The only noise comes from the local foxes or Halloumi when he wants something!
• Shared Space: We have a proper living room (YAY!) with a pole for fitness and a mountain of subscriptions (Netflix, Prime, Hayu, Now, Apple TV).
• Living Room Boundaries: I value our shared space, but if you ever need the living room to yourself to unwind, just ask! I’m happy to give you the space. I value communication and transparency and expect the same.

About Me & Halloumi
I’m 31, working 3 days in-office and 2 WFH (never on Mondays!). I’m into the gym and pole dance. I’m either out and about or happily "rotting" in bed.
• Social Balance: I’m mostly in my room, but I’m down for a flatmate date at least once a month. I’m not a "small talk" person in the morning (I can be a bit grumpy/silent before work kicks in!), but a friendly greeting is a must.
• The Cat: Halloumi is nearly 3. He’s anxious with strangers but becomes a total cuddle-bug once he warms up. He’s vocal, especially if I’m not up by 8:00 AM for his wet food!

The House Rules
• Cleanliness: We do a bi-weekly shared rota for deep cleaning. Otherwise, it’s a very easy flat to keep tidy as long as we clean as we go (especially after cooking/showering).
• Guests: If I have a friend over for dinner, I’ll always send an "fyi" text and expect the same so we both know what’s happening. I have friends from Paris visit maybe twice a year—I’ll always give you a heads-up.
