Description

Hi! I’m a 30-year-old gay man working in fashion, and I’m looking for a new flatmate for the larger room in my 2-bed flat in Nine Elms.

The location:

- Directly across the road from Nine Elms tube station (Northern line)
- A huge Sainsbury’s right next to the station
- Short walk to Vauxhall station and to Battersea Power Station
- Short bus ride to Clapham Junction

The flat:

- Two balconies, one off the living room and one off the kitchen
- Separate bathroom and toilet
- Plenty of storage
- Dual aspect (south-east and north-west), so it gets natural light all day

The room:

A good-sized double (about 12 m²), the bigger of the two bedrooms. It faces north-west, so it gets direct sun in the afternoon and evening. It comes with a bed frame, mattress, two nightstands and two built-in wardrobes with overhead storage. Available from 1 November.

The costs:

- Rent: £1,250 a month
- Deposit: £1,025
- Bills: around £200 a month, covering council tax (band B), gas, electricity, water and wifi
- Cleaner: comes every two weeks, £45 a visit, split between us

About me:

I work hybrid and travel for work fairly regularly, so the flat is often quiet. I’m clean, tidy and easy to live with. I’m friendly and always up for a chat in the kitchen, but I’m not looking for a built-in best friend. If we end up getting on really well, great, but there’s no pressure either way.

Who I’m looking for:

- Someone in their late 20s to early 30s. Women and LGBTQ+ people are especially welcome, but I’m open to anyone who fits the rest of this list
- A professional with a hybrid job (not fully working from home), and bonus points if you travel for work too
- Clean and tidy, and respectful of shared space
- No pets, sorry

Guests:

This is a calm home rather than a social hub. The occasional guest is absolutely fine, but it won’t suit someone whose partner would be staying over several nights a week or every weekend, or who likes to host often. I don’t do parties or frequent visitors myself, and I’m looking for someone who lives the same way.

If that sounds like you, send me a message with a bit about yourself, your work setup and what you’re looking for in a flatshare.
