Description

Short-term let from Oct 9-31 while I go travelling.

We are 4 minute's walk (or a 2 minute run) from Peckham Rye station, Rye Lane and Peckham High Street.

You would be be living with 3 friends (two that have lived together for a few years) and one lovely new addition who joined us a few months ago. We are a close house who enjoy each other's company and eat, chat and watch movies and party together when possible. In the week we keep it relatively chilled as we all have full time jobs but still try and find time to enjoy cooking, yoga, comedy nights, hula hooping, going to the pub and watching telly together. Friday and Saturdays are for dancing and Sundays are for Netflix , self-care and/or gardening..... We're looking for someone who is keen to get to know us and join the family vibe we've got but who also has their own stuff going on and brings good energy to the mix. Queer friendly house and we’re of pretty diverse heritage.

The house is an old Edwardian building with large windows and high ceilings. We have two big communal living spaces - living room and dining room. The kitchen is well equipped and leads out to the huge garden through double doors. The bedrooms are located on the first and second floors (the available room is on the first floor) and we share a bathroom.

We know the area well and its wonderful. We have the high street just round the corner with a wide variety markets and shops for food including loads of fruit of veg stalls, Chinese supermarket, healthfood shop, fishmonger and butcher. Peckham as an area also has lots of lovely places to eat and drink/party. Lidl is 3 minute's walk and Morrisons is about 6 minutes.

There is little park in front of our house, a slightly bigger one round the corner and then two massive parks - Peckham Rye and Burgess Park - just down the road.

Minimum age 27.

If you work from home the room isn’t ideal for squeezing a desk in. There is dining room space for working if you work hybrid or do a few jobs and some require desk work. We’re certainly not discriminating against anyone who works from home full time as we all do to some extent but just to let you know!

The room does come unfurnished, so you will need a bed frame and a mattress. All of the hanging rails will stay. We also have a few drawers on the landing and a huge shed that we can store some stuff in if you come with more stuff than you can fit!

If you're interested, please message us with a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a home.

We'll be doing video viewings first and then we’ll get anyone we really like around in person ASAP after.

Love Amie, Tobes and Steve xxx
