We have a bright double room in spacious modern 3 bed available from 1st December 2024 for a 6 month period.

The room is a small double, part-furnished with a bed frame (no mattress) and shelving unit, with additional separate closet currently containing a wardrobe and another small shelving unit. You would only be sharing a bathroom with one other housemate as one of the other rooms has its own en-suite. There is room for a desk if you need to WFH.

The flat is in a large new build complex just off Queens Road Peckham (zone 2) which is a very buzzy area with loads of bars, pubs and restaurants and is within walking distance to plenty of green spaces including Peckham Rye, Nunhead, and Burgess Park. Easy to get to central London in under 30 mins with direct trains to London Bridge that take less than 10 mins.

The flat itself is very peaceful and spacious. It has a large open kitchen/dining/living space with large balcony great for summer evening meals and drinks. There is also a communal garden/courtyard and an underground car park with a bike storage room.

About the housemates!
I'm moving out to live with my sister but I've had a great year and a half living with Loukas and Ioanna, both in mid-late 20s. They are both coincidentally originally from Greece but like to describe themselves as culturally anglicised. Both studied in the UK and Loukas was even born in Yorkshire.... don't ask him to do the accent.

They're both super lovely and fun, Loukas works as an environmental consultant and has recently become a big lover of house plants, and Ioanna is doing her PHD, loves baking on sundays and is obsessed with chickens.

We all do our own things most of the time but when we're all in the flat we like to hang out and have a laugh together. It's a very chilled dynamic! The other housemates do a mixture of wfh/home working, with most days in the office.

This would be a great flat for you if you are looking for somewhere homely, a fan of Greek cuisine, are clean and tidy, up for socialising but also have your own things going on.

Monthly rent is £830 plus bills which come to max £150 per month (Southwark Council Tax Band D).

Move in must be from 1st December at the latest. This will be for 6 months until 31st May. Can be flexible on move in date if an earlier move in date is necessary.

Referencing checks and a deposit payment of 5 weeks' rent will be necessary before move in is confirmed.
