Spacious Double Room 15 mins from Peckham

Spacious double bedroom in large three storey house with garage and garden (bonus!) available just 15 minutes walk from Peckham Rye.

I’m leaving my two lovely housemates Ali (39F) and Zoe (36F) for pastures new - they’re looking for a housemate to replace me for chats, wine and just general ‘chill housemate’ vibes. Both are professionals (Zoe is an Early Years Consultant and Ali works in planning). Zoe loves wine and the gym. Ali loves a chat and wine too. Very nice and ‘normal’ in housemate speak.

You’d be taking over my current contract which runs out at the end of August 2025, however there is a possibility to extend (you’d have to speak to the Letting Agent) if you’d like to stay longer. It’s honestly a great house in a great location (near Burgess Park, Camberwell and Peckham with loads of buses and transport links nearby) and I’m sad to be leaving it!

Room is on the first floor (adjacent to living room) with a shared bathroom upstairs. Only Ali and I share it as Zoe has an ensuite. It comes unfurnished but I have a wardrobe and chest of drawers that I’d be willing to sell to save me the trouble of lugging them outta the place.

Here comes the boring bit…

Rent: £850 a month (payable to letting agent on 24th of each month)

Deposit: £1000 (payable to me on change of occupancy approval - your name would replace mine on the deposit scheme)

Bills: not included in rent, but roughly come to £120 all in (internet, electric and gas, council tax etc - the gals have their names on certain bills so is shared)

Date of move in: TBC (I’m awaiting a move in date for my new place), but hopefully around the 24th September so we can make it a clean switch in terms of rent payment!

As you’ll be taking over the contract the letting agents will want all the proof that you can pay the rent, have a job, ten years worth of bank statements etc etc…just a heads up!
