Description

My current flatmate is leaving and I need to find someone to replace her on the tenancy. We need to do viewings asap!

Please note that the tenancy ends on 31/12 but the landlord will ask the tenants to renew : ) The rent will increase to £900 on 01/01/2025.

Specs:
- A double room available from the 1st of November
- Rent is currently £842 (deposit is £649)
- Bills are around £130-£160 depending on the time of year
- It is partly furnished - you will need to buy a bed and mattress (my flatmate can negotiate hers if you’re interested)
- Extra storage space in the laundry room
- We also share the cost of some things for the house e. g. cleaning products, etc
- females preferred

Transport links - Zone 2:
- Peckham Rye station is a 2-minute walk
- Overground: quick links to Clapham Junction, Canada Water, Whitechapel, Hoxton, Dalston
- Trains: quick links to Victoria and London Bridge
- Thameslink: quick links to Blackfriars and King’s Cross/St Pancras
- Many bus stops nearby with routes to Oxford Street, King’s Cross, Tower Bridge, Southwark Station etc.

The room is decently sized and the window faces the back of the building, so it’s very quiet. You’ll need to bring a mattress + bed frame; it looks quite simple at the moment but you can redecorate and make it your own. : ) There is a bright living room with large windows and a kitchen with a dishwasher. I have half a bathroom which means that you would be using the other bathroom most of the time (I only use it to shower). There is also a bike shed.

The room is located on the first floor in a safe building. It is around the corner from Rye Lane in Peckham Rye. It is a very lively area and very safe at night! There are many bars, pubs and restaurants in the area. Also lots of supermarkets, gyms, cinemas (Peckhamplex!) etc. Dulwich is 15 minutes away.

You will be sharing with just me. I'm in my 30s and work as a project coordinator & legal advisor for a human rights charity. I'm looking for someone clean, respectful and easygoing, who values diversity and inclusion, and who respects shared spaces - this is a peaceful flat best suited for someone who wants to keep making it feel like a home : ) (this is not a party house). Non-smokers only please.
I've lived here for over a year and love the area. We've not had the chance to redecorate much since moving in but happy to start working on that !

Your minimum income should be £25,380. Unfortunately we can’t accept students.

Rent is due on the 1st of every month.

Please send me a short message with some information about you: what you do for a living, your age, your interests etc. and to confirm that you understand the landlord's requirements.

Cheers!
Mari
