Description
There's a small double room available from the beginning of Jan in our lovely communal houseshare in central Peckham.
We are Ellen (30, queer, organiser), Peggy (27, cafe manager / bike person) and Naomi (31, PhD student, nerd) - the current housemates - and we're looking for someone to live with us!
We'd prefer to live with someone 25+ in age but are not super fussy if the vibe is good. All genders, backgrounds etc welcome! We're a queer-friendly household and would love to find another queer person to live with 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
Here's some key info, and we can send over more including access info and some more about the house for anyone interested:
The room is £775/month. Bills come to about £110/month and we all contribute £50/month to shared food and house supplies.
The house is a terraced house on a small housing estate just off Rye Lane, about a 5 minute walk from Peckham Rye station. There’s a small front and back garden where we’ve grown food and flowers and is nice for a summer BBQ, as well as having space to store bikes.
The room itself is a small double upstairs on the first floor and comes furnished with a bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
You’ll be signing onto the house contract which runs to early July - you’ll need to be able to put down a deposit and pass the landlord’s reference checks (can share more details).
It’s a lovely house with an amazing communal space, cute garden and incredible location just off Rye Lane. I’ve lived here for 6 years and been really happy!
We've chosen to live communally in the house - we buy almost all food and supplies collectively, and cook for each other when we can. At the moment we get a weekly veg box from a local supplier and try to order the rest of our food in bulk shops.
If you’re keen and this sounds like somewhere you want to live, please send over your answers to the following questions as soon as you can 🙂
1) Tell us a bit about yourself!
2) What are you looking for in a house?
3) How do you feel about the collective food/supplies set up?
4) Does a moving date around Jan 1st with first rent due then work for you?
