Description

We have a room to let in our lovely Peckham houseshare. The house is a large, three-story victorian terraced house with a garden. We are a friendly bunch who have made this house a home.

ABOUT US:
We’re all in our early thirties: Kaya is a producer for an arts charity, Siri investigates research fraud in publishing, Phil works in biogas. We are all quite independent and but when we are home we like to spend time together, watch a film, have a house dinner, drink wine, play boardgames, watch movies, debate the respective advantages of Morrisons vs Lidl, and we generally consider ourselves a friendly and sociable bunch.
We are not a party house, and often in bed by 10, but we do like to plan a party or BBQ like once or twice a year for special occasions as well as host the odd house dinner or have our friends stay over.
We are communicative and respectful about sharing space and make sure to let everyone know any house plans well in advance!

ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for someone who wants more than just a room and would like to contribute to making the house a home long term (at least for a year). We would like to find someone who is relatively sociable, laid back and clean, who's up for maintaining a friendly and communal home. We all work full-time but mostly from the office, and would ideally like to find someone that works in the office 3-days per week minimum.
We are all animal lovers, and are open to cats coming to live with us, but the house suits an outdoor cat only as we like to have the door to the garden open a lot in summer.

ABOUT THE HOUSE:
The house is on a quiet cul de sac, comes furnished and has:
- a large open plan sitting/ dining room area
- separate kitchen
- separate utility room
- 2 bathrooms (with bath/showers) and a separate loo (3 toilets between 4 of us)
- good size back garden (Siri is currently growing potatoes!)

ABOUT THE AREA:
It's a great area, we’re about 3-min walk from Queens Road Peckham Station, 15-min from Peckham Rye. Sainsbury’s and Tesco both a 3-min walk. Nice bars and cafe's 2-min walk from our house.

ABOUT THE ROOM:
The room is a cosy double room in the basement, with a garden view. For a basement room it is really bright with a large window (west-facing so gets evening light). It comes fully furnished with a small double bed, large wardrobe, chest of drawers and some inbuilt storage.

IMPORTANT STUFF
We have a private contract with our landlady (with whom we have a great relationship). There’s no agency fees or anything like that but she’ll need:
-references
-deposit
-singles only (For HMO but partners very welcome to hang out)
-contract length is negotiable.
-bills are *currently* around £125 pcm inc high speed internet (we have inc these in price of rent)
