Bright, Large Room Available in Peckham

Our lovely housemate recently moved to NYC after living with us for three years, so we’re seeking a fun, friendly, and tidy new housemate to join us in Peckham.

The room is newly refurbished and overlooks the back garden, making it peaceful, quiet, and full of natural light. It has recently been painted and re-carpeted and includes some built-in storage. The room is currently semi-furnished (bed, mattress, built-in cupboards, and bedside tables), with additional space for a desk or another cupboard if needed. We also have a basement for storing larger items. You'll be the primary user of the bathroom pictured, as we both use the upstairs bathroom for showering etc.

The house is large and cosy, with two bathrooms, a separate loo, a sitting room, a dining room, and a kitchen. I’m a keen cook, so there’s plenty of kitchen equipment and lots of recipe books. We often have Sunday dinners together before a cosy night on the sofa. The kitchen is also equipped with a new washing machine and tumble dryer, and a small dishwasher. The dining room doubles as a WFH space during the week. There’s also a lovely garden with beautiful roses in the summer and outdoor seating, ideal for morning coffees and reading in the sun. There’s a spare bedroom upstairs for the occasional guest, and we also have on-street bike storage available if needed.

You’ll be sharing with two female housemates (30 and 31) who both work in London. I’m currently freelancing and have a small private office in the house, while the other housemate works from the office three days a week.

The house is located at the bottom of Peckham Rye, near the library, and is a 10-minute walk from Peckham Rye Station, a 12-minute walk to Queens Road Peckham, with direct buses on our doorstep to Elephant and Castle (20 minutes) and Vauxhall (25 minutes).

The surrounding area is great, Franks, Peckham Plex, South London Gallery, Toad Bakery, Montpellier, Earl of Derby, Skehans, Peckham Cellars, Forza Wine, and loads more are all within a 10–20 minute walk. We’re about 5 minutes from the bottom of Rye Lane and around 20 minutes from Camberwell and Nunhead.

All bills are included in the rent, including high-speed Wi-Fi and a fortnightly cleaner who tidies the communal spaces.

The room is currently available for 6 months but this may be extended.
