Homely Double Bedroom in a 5-Bed House - SE15 1SX

We’re looking for someone to take over one bedroom in our lovely 5-bedroom house just off Ilderton Road very near Peckham. We would ideally like another student to avoid paying council tax.

I'm moving home but since I've been here, my housemates and I have been working very hard to make it a home away from home for all of us. There is another bedroom available, if you happen to have a friend also looking for a place! The house currently has 3 tenants. We make up a friendly, supportive, and LGBTQ+ household. We are all studying art adjacent subjects at Goldsmiths and have a wide variety of interests. Some prefer going out at night, and some of us love to have an evening in, so there will be community for any tenant. I have loved my time living here and always felt so supported by my housemates, even though we only moved in with each other last July. It is so nice to have friendly and warm people to come home to.

The house is bright, welcoming, and very well laid out. There’s a spacious and very cute living room, a separate fully fitted kitchen with plenty of storage, washer and dryer, loads of cupboards, and a breakfast bar. There are three bathrooms, 3 showers, and a bathtub. The bedroom is comfortable and well spaced, and on the top floor so has a lovely view across to the Shard and Canary Wharf. The room comes with a bed, mattress, desk, chair, bookshelf, wooden clothing shelves, and bedside table.

The neighbourhood is having some work done across the road which is very nearly finished, which will mean there are many more through routes to Old Kent Road, and that it will be quiet and residential with lovely neighbours, while still being close to everything. We have many pubs and cafes close-by, and a Lidl, Aldi, and great Off Licenses just a 5 minute walk away. Queens Road Peckham Station is about a 15-minute walk away, making it easy to get into Central London. We are also a 5 minute walk away from Old Kent Road bus stops which can really help you get anywhere for cheap! On our block is Ormside Studios (closeby but you can never hear it!) if you like to go out, many small independent galleries that often have openings, and also the meadows which look over Bermondsey and Canary Wharf, there's also loads of great food joints to visit. We are a 20 minute walk to Goldsmiths.

The room will be available to move in from 17th February. The new tenant will need to complete the full application process through the agency, as this is a lease takeover. The lease ends July 31st, and the tenant who is leaving their furniture behind would need to be able to come and pick up the desk, shelves, bookshelf, and bedside table then too.
