Description
Hello!
We’re looking for someone to move in to a room in a flat in Peckham. I’ve lived here a year and love it, but my flatmates are off to new adventures so looking to fill their rooms.
It’s right opposite Burgess Park, 5 mins walk from the community garden, and about a 15 min walk to Peckham high street. The flat block we’re in is really friendly, it’s very quiet at night (although is opposite a school so can be loud in the day!).
The flat stays really warm in winter so we have pretty low bills, and we have a good landlord who fixes things when we ask. It’s a pretty nice, modern flat, we don’t have problems with mould and the shower works well. The room we have to let does have the boiler in the cupboard, so can be loud when someone uses the water. We haven’t found this too much of an issue this year, but do want to flag it. There is built in cupboards for storage in the room, which is pretty helpful.
We’re looking for someone whose pretty sociable and want to flat to feel really homely. We really value having a clean living space, especially as there’s only one communal room, so would like to live with someone who is pretty on it with cleaning / washing up (we have a dishwasher which is very handy). We both want to live somewhere that feels very calm, so would like to live with someone easy to get on with. We’re of course super easy about people coming to stay, partners being round, and like to have friends over for dinner and that kind of thing. As it’s in a communal block, it’s not much of a party house, but is a super nice space for having friends round.
Me and Cerys have been friends for six years, and lived together for four of those. We are both pretty easygoing, like to be busy but also pretty keen on a night in watching a film or doing some art. Cerys is really into making documentaries and works for a film company and as a TA with kids with SEN. I’m pretty outdoorsy and will usually be cycling off somewhere. I’m finishing my masters this year and looking for jobs in the arts/ heritage sector. We’re also speaking to another girl who is a friend of a friend about living here, who we don’t know but seems lovely!
We’d like to live with someone who is veggie or only eats fish in the flat, just because we don’t eat meat and we don’t have a separate kitchen to living room. We’d like to live with a woman or gender-queer person between 23-28, so that we’re all in a similar chapter of life. As I live here at the moment, you’d be very welcome to come and see the flat to see if it would work for you.
Please get in touch if you’re interested!
