🏡 Double room available in Peckham / Nunhead

Looking for a new housemate to join our house in Peckham / Nunhead from 10 October 2026.

RENT - £925pm, BILLS - c.£120pm, DEPOSIT - £1,153

About us - Housemates are Roddy (from London) and Finn (from Notts). We’re 26 and both went to Sheffield Uni (of). Finn works in engineering consulting and I work in government relations.

We’re easy going and like an impromptu pint. Our interests include gigs and live music, cooking Sunday roasts, eating Sunday roasts, pub crawls and quizzes, Mexican music, pretending we’re not going to drink this week, and going to free events in London. A Sky or TNT subscription to watch the football would go down well.

We want someone who’s happy to go for a walk here and there, go for a coffee / have a takeaway, is up for a house cook now and again (bbq in summer), but obviously have our own lives / social groups and respect each others space.

The room

It’s a double room and overlooks the garden with great natural light, especially in the morning. There’s technically a balcony if you like sitting on a roof. It comes furnished with a bedside table, clothes rail and under bed storage, with extra cupboard space just outside the room.

Disclaimer - There’s no desk in the room, but we have one in the living room and one in another room to share. In terms of WFH, our schedules mean that we’re in the office enough and are never fighting to work from home - i. e. Finn’s always in the office.

The house

We live in a 3-bed furnished house in Nunhead / Peckham, just down the road from Skehans.

The house has:

• 1 bathroom (shower, bath, toilet and sink )
• The kitchen (gas hob, electric oven, plenty storage and steel workstation)
• The living / dining room ( spacious, nice wood flooring, and lots of natural light)
• Private garden (fire pit / BBQs, outdoor table, grape vine apparently and plenty of space for bike storage)
• Washing machine, dryer and dishwasher
• Plenty of storage

Location

We’re in the Nunhead / Peckham area, around 5 minutes away from Nunhead Station and 8 mins from Queens Road Peckham - so served by TfL Overground, Southern, Southeastern, Thameslink - so getting into central is pretty easy.

Local shops include Co-op, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and there are bigger Morrisons and Lidl in Peckham.

The local area is great for green spaces and independent shop, cafes, pubs etc - all within walking distance.

Rent & bills

The room is £925 per month. The lead tenant pays the total rent to the letting agent on the 9th of each month.

Bills are about £120 per month approx on top, covering council tax, water, gas and electric, and internet.

Deposit is £1,153.

We’ll be reassigning the tenancy as our old housemate moves out so you’ll get your name on the contract.
