Description
For let from start of Jan is a spacious double room with wood flooring, big built in storage and optional furniture in a really nice contemporary two-bed flat. It's in an off-street development in quiet Nunhead, with top local amenities seconds away, minutes from the busier bits of Peckham and with great transport links into central London and the overground.
The room would be taking over a share of the tenancy from me (Jules) and living with the remaining flatmate. She is a young professional journalist and keeps two house rabbits in the flat (they won't get in your way and she meets all costs - so you get free access to cute furry animals).
The whole place is homely and done to a high standard with nice flooring throughout and high-quality fitted bathroom and kitchen with good appliances. We started the tenancy with it unfurnished but you'll get use of the communal furniture we bought which is staying and also can discuss what bedroom furniture you want to stay or go, no extra charge either way.
There's also a front terrace, with included outdoor furniture and some dry storage that's good for having parcels left in etc as well as fencing that's good for cycle locking. The flat can be accessed via the front terrace from the courtyard or by the internal hall in the building.
The other room is slightly larger so she's paying a higher share of the rent, leaving this one at 700 PCM plus bills. Flat has high-speed BT broadband with the option to upgrade to TV subscriptions etc if wanted. Council tax is £55 each per-month.
There would be a deposit payable to be kept by the TDS and an agency fee but I'm meeting costs like the new inventory for you etc myself leaving your payable fee at £195.
The tenancy would be changed to add your name fully and it currently runs until June before needing renewal. It's an LGBT-friendly, homely and chilled flat and we're looking for someone responsible and fairly sociable - rest is between you and the other flatmate. If you decide you want to move in after viewing, you'll need to meet if you didn't on the day. Couples not generally the ideal but feel free to ask on a case-by-case basis, if you and the flatmate get along well.
The landlords on the property manage it directly and are nice and responsive, we've only had one maintenance issue so far and it was dealt with immediately. The estate agents are local but just collect the rent and do the paperwork.
Looking to start the paperwork fairly quickly so if you have any questions and/or want to arrange a viewing please email or text asap. I've got Saturday 5th clear all day for having people come and look around and can often do weekday evenings after 5-6pm.
