The house
A bright and spacious double room in a period property with a private garden is available for a late 20’s to mid 40's professional. The room is furnished including a desk and chair to WfH for part of the week. The kitchen is well equipped, you’ll have your own fridge, a large amount of cupboard space, and there's an extendable 8-person dining table for hosting. The living room has been renovated to include a fireplace and cupboards since the pictures were taken. Some bills, cleaning products, and toilet/kitchen roll are included. Gas and electric is additional and varies from around £35pp in the summer to around £80pp in the winter. The internet is 500mb fiber from Virgin Media.

The area
The area is safe, peaceful, and quiet. Penge has a great community vibe, there's a park at the end of the road, with shops (Tesco, Aldi, Co-Op, Sainsburys) and cafes nearby. It’s a short walk to Penge high street, Crystal Palace, and Norwood Junction which have good pubs and restaurants. Commuting is easy from the area as it’s very well connected (more on this below). You can’t hear traffic or trains from the house so with the windows open you can wake up to the sound of birds in the morning.

Who you’ll share with
I’m a 40 year old civil servant working from home around three days a week. I’m into cooking, wine, cycling, swimming, and the outdoors. Having grown up in London, I know the city well and am social. The house is calm, quiet, friendly, and I'm open minded as to who I share with. I’m looking for a working professional, who’s also clean and tidy, has their own social circle, and likes to have a drink or dinner together when schedules align. Apologies but I’m not looking for pets, couples, smokers, or those with right wing politics.

Transport
The property has free on-street parking and is located between five stations serving most major London terminals, as well as a line East. There is a knack to quick South East London transport so I’ve given a quick overview of some key stations and times to places!
