A person in their mid 60s with Multiple Sclerosis which leads to poor mobility and anxiety, is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would really benefit from some practical help around the flat to help them to continue to live independently in their own home, with some company and a little help.

They have care support morning and evening, but would be really reassured by having someone living with them and sleeping their overnight, plus a little practical help with putting the bins out, lifting heavier items, shopping, cooking and sharing a few meals, hanging up laundry, answering the door and other ad hoc errands that may be needed and useful. A little help in the garden would also be appreciated if you would enjoy that.

The accommodation on offer is a large double bedroom with and ensuite bathroom, and shared use of the kitchen/sitting room and the garden.

The property is located in Roehampton with a bus stop less than 2-minutes’ walk away (buses to Putney - where there is a tube station and National Rail station - take 15 minutes).

The person’s interests include languages – French, Spanish, Italian; reading the Guardian/Observer; listening to music, watching some sports and comedy TV shows (eg Friends, Modern Family), having a chat about current events and reading.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, gentle, sympathetic, quiet and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
