Description
A spacious double bedroom is available on the first floor of our charming plant-filled Edwardian home, shared with just one other person. My flatmate is reluctantly leaving this cosy place to move abroad. The flat is on a quiet street in Rotherhithe, minutes away from the Thames, the Windrush Line and the Jubilee Line. The bedroom is furnished, on the garden side of the house, with a lot of morning light from an east-facing window. There is a big living room and kitchen, a bathroom shared with me, and a small study that can be used as a guest bedroom or for storage. We have a dishwasher, a private patio and garden, wooden floors and historic touches all over the house, and even a record player =)
If you don't know the area, it's absolutely London's best-kept secret: quiet, safe, yet well-connected. We're 10 minutes by public transit from London Bridge and Canary Wharf, and 15 minutes from Waterloo, with plenty of scenic walks and woodland paths nearby. There are many bus routes at Canada Water and a big Tesco 15 minutes by foot.
You'll be living with me, a journalist and PhD student in her mid-30s. I am clean, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. I'm open to sharing with people of all gender identities, nationalities and careers, asking only that you clean up after yourself and are respectful of the common areas. It's not a party house, but I'd be happy to socialize together and friends are welcome to visit. Would best suit a professional or a mature student looking for a calm, creative home with good vibes.
Bills + council tax (Band C) come out to about 90-140 per month.
