Description
One lecturer (male), one researcher (female), one waiter (male) and Merlin (a Scottish Terrier) are looking for an additional flatmate in a shared house.
PhD and Masters students preferred.
We don't care if you smoke. If you do, you'll have to do so outside.
No lazy people, please. Keeping the house clean is a shared responsibility.
The rent is £170 per week. This includes WiFi, water, electricity, and gas. If you are a student, there is no council tax. If you need to pay council tax, this may range from £30 to £50 p/mo.
The room is unfurnished, but we do have a spare mattress if needed.
Merlin is fully house trained, quiet (he doesn't even bark when people come to the door), and very friendly. Being a Scottish Terrier, he is not particularly big either. He currently weighs about 11kg.
Cons:
• Walls are thin
• The house is a bit shabby
• Small kitchen
• No central heating / we need to use electric plug in heaters
Pros:
• Excellent location (4 mins walk from underground; 8 mins walk from large Tescos; 15 mins walk from community swimming pool)
• Recently refurbished outhouse (in backyard)—thus, there are two toilets, but only one bathroom
• Warm heaters in every room
• Clothes washing machine
• Backyard with grill/fire spot and space for garden
• The rent and utilities are inexpensive
This house is good because it is inexpensive and well located. It is an ideal place for people trying to work hard and save money.
