Description
Hi folx,
Thanks for stopping by! This ad is for a short sublet in my gorgeous warehouse conversion in the Fountayne Road warehouse community.
I have a good sized, double room available from the 20th of January - 12th of February (23 days) while I do some travelling in our 4 bedroom warehouse on Fountayne Road for £175pcw, all bills, internet, cleaner and use of studio and studio space included. (Tax band: D)
About the room:
Square shaped, insulated and carpeted with a velux window, sloped ceiling, beams and radiator. Fully furnished with double bed, wardrobe, and 2 chests of drawers available to you. As this is a short sublet, the under-bed storage won't be available.
About the space:
A first floor apartment with a large, open-plan downstairs including a cosy lounge space, kitchen and studio space. It's newly refurbished so well insulated and ventilated with plenty of radiators and 2 big windows. The kitchen, bathroom, living room, dance studio and storage space is located in the downstairs area while the bedrooms, communal work space and second living room/snug with TV are all located above on the mezzanine floor and can be accessed by either of the two staircases. Kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, kettle, microwave, and also benefits from 2 large fridge-freezers and two large islands that also serve as a large dining table. The dance studio is equipped with fantastic flooring and mirrors. We also have plenty of yoga and safety mats, as well as blocks and other small work out equipment. The studio is home to a stage pole and an Aerial hoop rig, but these may only be used with the owners' permission.
Local amenities:
– 3 corner shops within 5 mins
– Lidl, Iceland, Asda Home, Wilko, B&Q etc around 8 min walk at Tottenham Hale retail park
– Big Tesco and small Sainsburys 10 mins walk in opposite direction
– 8-10 mins walk to either Tottenham Hale or Seven Sister tube
– 8 mins walk from a lovely canal path leading all the way from Tottenham marshes to Victoria park (and beyond?)
About the roomies:
Live-work gang who all work or train from home at least some of the time. One other housemate during this time will be a lovely sub-letter too as our other housemate Evie is travelling at the same time as me.
We are all creatives and sociable, but all with a good career drive. We're a creative house rather than a party house, but have forged strong friendships here and try to hang out as much as we can around our work schedules. As it's a warehouse community, you will have a strong community around you - we are great friends with several of our neighbours and sometimes organise get-togethers and dinners with bunches of between 8-15 of us. We are all quite big personalities but extremely mindful and respectful of each others working/sleeping patterns. At night, the house is fairly quiet during both the week and the weekends. Liberal, LGBTQ+ friendly, anti-tory, anti-swerf.
The lowdown:
• Olive, 25 (she/her): Producer and digital consultant, works hybrid from home/office - likes cooking and cinema, likely out seeing friends. xxx<3
• Amanda, 27 (she/her): Sports therapist and Pilates instructor. Loves Dj’ing and anything music related. Works long hours (out of the house) and usually out socialising/partying during the weekends.
• Phoebe , 32. Works in a custom making jewellery shop in Covent Garden. Outdoorsy but also creative, interested in art, film, writing, music. Laid back and sociable.
And me (though you won't live with me!) I'm Claire, 32 (she/her): Performer/creative type involved in dance, burlesque, aerial hoop instructor, host, and runs a performance agency. Plant-based chica, somewhere between serious workaholic and playful festival-loving part time hippy.
About you:
- Ideally looking for someone other than a cis male as we hold women's hoop classes here.
- Liberal and lovely, into the above vibes.
- Someone who’s up for having a chat, getting involved with the occasional dinner (if our calendar's align!)
- Tidy & house-trained.
- Able to move in approx 20th of January
Any Qs, hit us up!
Can't wait to hear from you
