Description
END OF APRIL TO END OF MAY SUBLET
This is a 4-5 week sublet starting from the mid/end of April - end of May with flexible move in/out dates. It is the largest room in the house and has two work spaces, perfect for a creative! One table I use for general work, and the other for ceramics. I’d be open to moving the bed up onto the mezzanine if you’d prefer to have more space!
THE MAIN SPACE
The main living areas are comfortable and beautifully bright due to the high windows on both sides of the main room. The sun rises on one side and sets on the other! The kitchen is of a good size with all the expected equipment, including a 90cm dishwasher, washing machine, new range oven, two huge US-style fridges, plenty of freezer space, and a large kitchen island that serves as a nice social hub.
The flat is also warm, with radiators under each window and a brand new Govt Grant Heat Pump heating system. This has included the full insulation of all exterior walls, as well as a fully insulated ceiling. The lounge has large sofas & Chesterfield to watch films on the good quality projector/remote screen, and the dining area is good for dinner for up to 16-20 people.
While we have had amazingly curated 'happenings', we would certainly not classify ourselves as a 'party house'. Other elements include our shed (an alternative for friends staying over as we don't do couch-surfing), and a stocked bar (in a lift). Additional elements are a vertical living wall and a massive disco ball.
WHO WE ARE
We are a mixed bunch of late 20/30-somethings, all from varied and interesting creative professions, and we look forward to introducing ourselves when you visit our lovely home. The flat is very much a blank canvas/creative hub, and we welcome anyone who would like to be involved within our lovely space. We are POC and LGBTQ safe space friendly, of course.
THE MONEY BIT
The monthly rent is inclusive of bills, which also includes a fortnightly cleaner (all common areas/kitchen/bathroom) and good wifi.
THE AREA
The area benefits from a multitude of travel options. Plenty of bus routes in all directions, two tube stations (Seven Sisters, Tottenham Hale), an Overground (South Tottenham), Stansted Express to the airport or direct into the City/Liverpool Street.
We are very near several parks as well as the amazing Marshes which run along the length of the Lee Valley canal system. Other attractions include The Beehive, The Post & The High Cross (the latter in converted Public WCs), Holcombe Market (just off the Tottenham High Road) with some great little foodie stalls, The Wetlands (reservoirs, nature and brisk walks on our doorstep), gyms, yoga studios, a new rock climbing wall, Tesco's/Lidl, etc. All are within a 5-minute walk.
HOW TO APPLY
If you would like to register your interest, please reply to the advert with a summary about yourself, it would be helpful if you included your contact number so we can call for a brief chat before offering a viewing. We will disregard messages asking 'if it is still available'.
PLEASE NOTE!
Please note, no dogs as we have a cat, and it's a no-smoking household.
