Goldhawk Road is a mecca for dressmakers with a good choice of fabric shops frequented by students at the London College of Fashion in Lime Grove. Shepherd’s Bush Market sells everything from clothes, to luggage, to fruit and no vegetables. Mr Falafel at the Uxbridge Road end of the market claims to sell the best Palestinian falafel.

The nearest station to Macfarlane Road is Shepherd's Bush Market Tube Station (Hammersmith and City Line) which is about 3 minutes to the South West.
