This is not a ‘budget’ option .. more of a lifestyle choice :)
Single occupant only
I own a large 1650sqft house, it has 3 double bedrooms’ one of which I use as a study, and two bathrooms with a great South facing garden - the bedroom available is on the second floor and it has its own en suite bathroom - see the floor plan.
The house is 2 minutes walk from both Shepherds Bush [Central] and Shepherds Bush Market[Hammersmith & City] Underground, the Overground, British Rail station, a main bus terminal, Westfield and the Oxford Tube.
It is in a quiet road with little traffic so you can relax in the garden after a long day to the sound of birds rather than urban noise :)
I enjoy the feeling of 'space' with only two people including myself, and a dog 🐾, living in the house. My bedroom, bathroom and study is on the 1st floor. The second floor, the space on offer is 350 sqft - en suite and the size of a self contained apartment :)
There is a king size bed, desk for study / work, also a ‘stand up’ desk and an armchair. Whilst large it is probably more suitable to those who travel relatively light as there is limited storage.
Council tax, water, fibre optic broadband, TV Licence, gardener are included. In light of the recent price increases in energy the gas & electricity are estimated at £100p/m and included in the rent - there is a Smart meter and any excess will be split 50/50.
A young man who worked for Amazon stayed for a year and left in the spring since then I’ve had a visiting professor flying in and out from MIT - it is definitely a 'home'.
Prior to the Coronavirus outbreak I used to travel every 1/2 months and would like to find a like minded soul who would enjoy the house and Puddle 🐾 - although I am out most evenings I love to cook and the house comes into its own in the summer with a BBQ in the garden :)
USB points are in all the rooms.
Residents parking can be applied for if a long term lodger and there is always a space outside the house.
I have a well trained dog, a 3 year old Cockapoo
Sadly I am allergic to cats and now that I have my own another dog would not be suitable.
There is nothing I enjoy more than spending a couple of hours to relax and read the Sunday Papers - the rest of the time I am very active and a flatmate with a similar lifestyle would enjoy the local environment - it is multicultural, there are 3 gyms and Soho House within 5 minutes walk of the house. The Hoxton Shepherds Bush is also 2 minutes walk :)
To flag - great if you are in financial services / professional / an academic or medic / physician - someone who is travelling light and wants a ‘home’.
It is not suitable for a couple or someone who is in need of a 7 day HomeOffice .. and definitely not a couch potato :)
It is more important to find the right person than the timing of their arrival ..
I speak Italian, French and get by in Greek :)
I would consider short term occupation - 10 days plus or a Mon-Fri at a rate to be discussed.
