Description
A generous, characterful home in a great location .. the entire top floor is yours
This is a calm, well-kept house with genuine character .. the kind of place you come back to at the end of the day and actually feel at ease. There’s a dog, a garden, and someone who cares about the house being a pleasant place to live. It’s not a modern rental; it’s a home that happens to have a beautifully appointed top floor available.
The space is the entire second floor — around 350 sq ft with its own en suite — so it feels much more like a private suite than a typical room. Recently redecorated throughout, it includes a king-size bed, desk and standing desk, armchair, and electric Velux windows with blinds.
The house itself is approximately 1,650 sq ft: three double bedrooms (one used as a study), two bathrooms, and a large south-facing garden. It’s on a quiet residential road — very little traffic — yet two minutes from Shepherd’s Bush (Central Line), Shepherd’s Bush Market (Hammersmith & City), the Overground, mainline rail, the bus terminal, the Oxford Tube and Westfield.
Shepherd’s Bush is a genuinely multicultural area — busy, well-connected, and with a strong local character of its own.
I live here as the owner, with my well-trained Cockapoo 🐾. There are no other lodgers, which keeps the house quiet, spacious and relaxed.
All bills are included — council tax, utilities, fibre broadband, TV licence and a gardener.
The kind of person this suits
Previous residents have included a visiting academic and a senior professional. It tends to work well for someone with an independent, busy life who wants a genuinely comfortable base to come back to — rather than somewhere they’ll be spending every hour of every day. It’s not designed for couples, a couch potato or for someone working from home full-time.
I travel occasionally so there are periods when the house is entirely yours. I’m looking for someone who’ll treat it as a home.
This isn’t a budget option, and it’s not meant to be. It’s for someone who wants a straightforward, high-quality arrangement without compromise, and for whom the rent is comfortably within reach.
Residents’ parking permits are available. Shorter stays of 10 days or more are welcome at a higher rate.
Fluent in Italian and French if that’s useful.
If it sounds like the right fit, do get in touch.
