I live in the house (as the owner) along with my well-trained Cockapoo 🐾 — there are no other lodgers. This keeps the house quiet, spacious and relaxed, which is a big part of the appeal.
The house itself is approximately 1650 sq ft, with three double bedrooms (one used as a study), two bathrooms, and a large south-facing garden. It’s on a quiet residential road with very little traffic, yet just 2 minutes from Shepherd’s Bush (Central Line), Shepherd’s Bush Market (Hammersmith & City), the Overground, mainline rail, bus terminal and Westfield.
The space available occupies the entire second floor — around 350 sq ft with its own en suite — so it feels closer to a private suite than a standard room.
Recently redecorated, it includes:– King size bed– Desk and standing desk– Armchair– Electric Velux windows and blinds
Bills are included (council tax, utilities, fibre broadband, TV licence, gardener).
The house tends to suit someone with a busy, independent lifestyle who enjoys having space to come back to. It’s not designed for couples or for someone working from home full-time.
I travel regularly, so there will be times when you have the house to yourself. I’m looking for someone who will treat it as a home rather than just a place to stay.
Previous occupants have included a visiting academic and a senior professional — it generally attracts those who are established and comfortable in their routine.
To be clear, this is not a budget option. It’s intended for someone for whom the rent is comfortably affordable, and who is looking for a straightforward, high-quality living arrangement without compromise.
Residents’ parking permits are available if needed.
I’m happy to consider shorter stays (10 days+) at a higher rate.
