Mid-Aug or September 1st lease date also possible!

Hello, I’m Natasha!

Firstly

I have a very cute, cheeky, spoiled cat called Pepper, it's really important to me that you *like* cats, not just tolerate them. More info below!

Admin:

The house is rented through OpenRent directly from the landlord. You will be a legally protected tenant and will sign a standard legal AST lease. There's a one month security deposit that will be held/protected by the TDS when you move in. The room can be available either 1st Aug or 1st September, or a date in between if necessary, but no later than Sept 1st.

Bills and costs:

Rent is £850 each. Bills are NOT included in the rent. Bills are about £170 a month (energy being a bit unpredictable). We have: council tax (band C), water, high speed Virgin internet, gas/electric to pay on top of the rent. At the moment we're paying £1020 total for rent + bills.

About the house:

This house really is lovely. It’s pretty, well designed, bright and warm with lots of colour. Semi-detached with a garden and street parking spaces. It has plenty of storage space, including an attic. The bathroom is probably the best bathroom ever, with an excellent shower and separate clawfoot deep bathtub you can get your shoulders AND knees under the water. The garden is very nice, sunny with somewhere to sit down, enjoy a drink and watch the local cats and sometimes foxes take a nap in the shade. There is a comfortable, cosy living room, and separate dining room that I use for my office space during the day.

As well as the usual amenities, there's a TV, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, vitamix blender, PS4, sofa bed, attic, central heating, and a garden shed with various garden tools.

About the spare room:

The spare room is large and bright. It comes with a double bed (memory foam mattress), huge wardrobe, and a small chest of drawers. There is plenty of space for more furniture if you have it. It faces onto a normally quiet street/road with lots of huge trees which is nice in the Summer.

About the location:

I’ve been living here for over 3 years and I like it! It's a bit of a boring, family area. I know my neighbours, the local shop owner, etc etc. It’s close to both Norwood Junction station (15 min walk) and Selhurst station (10 min walk), and a short bus ride away from East Croydon/Crystal Palace as well. Norwood Junction is probably the better connected station. It LOOKS like it's far from the city, but from the house, you can be in Crystal Palace/East Croydon/London Bridge/Victoria/Clapham Junction in under 20-30 mins. There’s a gym/pool 15 min walk away, a massive supermarket 2 min walk from the house, a beauty therapist across the road if you want to get your lashes done lol, and plenty of other amenities nearby. It is close to Crystal Palace football stadium, but this hasn't affected my life much beyond the closest shops shutting early on match days.

About me:

I’m a 34 year old, single, female professional working in the video games industry. I mostly work from home. I’m not a big party person, though I like to go out and have dinner/drinks/activities with friends on occasion. I'm a very considerate, friendly, cluttered but clean kind of person. I like painting, reading, playing online video games with friends on my PC, and watching scifi shows or The Real Housewives while drinking red wine. I’m generally just a bit lowkey and boring, and so looking to live with someone similarly chilled, relaxed and horrified to be an adult with a decent salary who still can only afford to live in this city by sharing a house with a stranger from the internet. I'm not precious about my stuff and happy to share most things, I'll check in with you if I plan to have a guest in the house (very infrequently), I'll give you a shout if I need to hog the bathroom for an hour, I will do my share of the chores on time and I’ll just mind my own business, really.

I have a cat, Pepper. He’s very sweet, cuddly, curious and well cared for. He is neutered, groomed, preventatively flea treated/wormed. He has a lidded litter tray in the bathroom that I scoop daily+. I need to live with someone who won’t just tolerate Pepper but be kind to him and care for him if I’m away on holiday or something. When both of us are away from the house e. g. for Christmas I will hire a trusted cat sitter who will have keys to the house.

About (hopefully) you:

I’m really looking for someone who is just as lowkey as me! I don’t want to live with a pernickety highly strung nightmare or a wild party person who brings drunk Tinder one night stands back to the house all the time. I can’t be assed with any of that. I want to live with someone responsible, chill, clean, considerate, and respectful who understands that the house is my space as well as yours. Preferably be fluent in English, like cats, a working professional, and have your own life. It's also preferred that you will *not* work from home full-time (so I can sing badly along to musicals without bothering anyone), but not a deal breaker by any means.

So if all the above sounds good, please message me a little about yourself, your job, hobbies, lifestyle etc.

Thanks,

Natasha
