Description
Hello All,
I'm taking a sabbatical out of the country so will be subletting my room for nearly a year - its a nice spot so want to hold onto it. It will be from the 1st February - 20th of January 2026.
The area is really nice, you're a step away from the Wetlands, canals and reservoir, a short cycle away from marshes if you're into water and 5 mins from church street for a bit more hipsterdom. Its quick on the Piccadilly to central. And good place if you want to try out the delights of Hackney or Islington and I can offer plenty of sites if you're new to London/ the area.
It's pretty spacious for two people, we turned a bedroom into a big living room with dining table, have a lounge area and chair in the corridor so feels like it's got space. It's a little rustic around the edges (some questionable DIY jobs) although I made some progress repainting and putting new floors down. The bedroom gets lots of sun and is fairly spacious, it will just come with some big draws, rail and bed so you can make it your own.
Some of my stuff will stay in: furniture, furnishings, books, keyboard, craft stuff and bikes (I can leave one unlocked) so good option if you're new to London. Therefore, looking for someone who will take advantage of this but also look after my things - keep the plants alive etc.
My flatmate is very chill so doesn't have many requirements for a flatmate but she is clean, tidy and laid back so a similar energy would be best. She's out a lot and pretty introvert, we both like to recharge alone at home - so I think it's best to be similar or okay with that. Resourcefulness/ DIY skills are helpful to sort this old pad out w/ a flexible but hands off landlord (who lives downstairs).
Space for bike storage downstairs; it feels like an even better location if you cycle, as the closest station Stamford Hill. However, it is also 10 min walk to Manor house (Picadilly), Stoke Newington and Dalston a little further, 7 mins cycle to Finsbury (Victoria).
You do get inundated on here so I am really sorry if I don't get the chance to reply to everyone!
Viewings will be daytimesJan Thursday 9-12th so will need to be available some times this coming week xx
