Description
A room is available to sublet in our lovely Stoke Newington flat as our friend / flatmate is going travelling for 6 months! Our preference is to have a female so we're a gender balanced household. We're looking to fill the room by mid / late August but are flexible on dates.
We're all from a creative / design background. We're easy going, tidy and respectful housemates. Its not a party house and we each enjoy our personal space at times but equally enjoy congregating on the roof for drinks or a meal in the sunshine!
The flat is a 5 minute walk from Clissold Park (great in summer and for a morning run) and Church Street (spoilt for food & drink options). If you're after a night out, Dalston is a 10 minute stroll home! The 73 & 476 bus stop is a 2 minute walk while Dalston Kingsland Overground Station is about 10 minutes, Canonbury Station is slightly further. If you cycle, there's a spot for your bike in the hallway.
The room is one of four in a terraced house. The room is a decent size and a real bargain for the area! The kitchen is well kitted out (fridge, gas stove, dishwasher). We have two bathrooms (1 shower, 1 shower & bath - all with good pressure!) so there is never a rush in the morning. The jewel of the house is the roof terrace which enjoys panoramic views of the city and wonderful sunsets. Its perfect for outdoor summer meals and drinks or reading a book and just hanging out. We don't have a living room unfortunately but the kitchen is a decent size with a table that seats four and the roof terrace also provides additional communal space.
The monthly rent is £850 and includes all bills, internet and TV license. You'll also need to pay a deposit of £850 (i. e., one months rent upfront). We do a collective shop for cleaning products, toiletries and basic kitchen supplies, which is included with the rent. We have a cleaning rota and take turns to clean each week.
