We have a large ground-floor double room available in a beautiful Victorian house in Stoke Newington. It's £782pcm, including council tax. Gas, electricity, water, wifi, and weekly cleaner come to an extra £100-ish a month. The room is furnished with a double bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, and a bookshelf.

The housemates and house:

We're a peaceful household of three guys who work in media, healthcare, and carpentry. We like to exercise, cook, read, watch a bit of non-terrestrial telly, and rest. We're friendly and have a passion for cleaning.

The house has a good-sized kitchen, a semi-subterranean cave-like sitting room, a nice back garden, big bathroom, two toilets, wooden flooring throughout, and a fair few mod cons, including a dishwasher, microwave, and coffee machine. Street parking is available but with a permit. We've also got space out front to lock bikes, and there's one of those Hackney council hanger things on the road.

Location:

The house is on a quiet residential street next to Stoke Newington Common. It's a 10-minute walk to Rectory Road and Stoke Newington overground stations. (15 mins to Liverpool Street and bus routes 149, 73, 76, 106, 243, and 476.)

Stoke Newington Church Street is just a 5-minute walk away, where there are coffee shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants galore. There are also lots of parks close by: Hackney Downs, Springfield Park, and Clissold Park.
