Description
Hey, there are two rooms available in a chill, cosy flat...
The Flat:
The flat is located on the ground floor with a secluded area of the communal garden just outside, so it does feel like our own private green spot. :) It's in Shacklewell Lane and off of the road, so it's lovely and quiet. The building is gated and requires a fob to enter, so safe and secure and there are bike railings in the main courtyard.
There are three bedrooms, a kitchen/ living room and bathroom. We have a washer and a dryer in the bathroom, a mixture of appliances (including an espresso machine), wooden floors throughout and the flat is light and open, although cosy.
Our landlord, Chris, gets things done quickly and is easygoing. He's been great about keeping rent increases low thus far.
The flat is a five minute walk to Stoke Newington High Street, which has bars, cafés, restaurants and the famous Rio Cinema. Dalston is a 5-10 minute walk away too, and supermarkets nearby are Sainsbury's, Tesco and Morrison's, as well as a smaller Aldi, Tesco and Co-op.
We are a two minute walk from Hackney Downs, fifteen minutes from Clissold Park and Church Street, and 30 minutes to Hackney/ Walthamstow marshes/Victoria Park, which all provide plenty of walking and running paths.
The Room:
The rooms available come with a bed and clothes rack, built in shelves and faces the far end of the courtyard.
Rent is £800 per month and the deposit is £774 (deposit may increase to rent price).
Currently, bills are around £115-130 including council tax, water, broadband, gas and electricity. We will also have a cleaner which will be £32 each per month!
The Flatmates so far...
I'm Bobbie, and I've lived in this lovely flat for almost six years, now. I work for the NHS as an addiction practitioner and I'm also training as a psychotherapist. I'm often between two jobs, studies, placement and my girlfriends gaff. I enjoy the usual stuff, travel, food, nature and shouting at the tennis...
The fourth member of the flat is a freeloading little void called Hugo, who hasn't forgotten that his brethren were once worshipped... He's a chill and fickle guy who will prioritise anyone holding a bag of chicken treats.
The New Flatmate:
This is an LGBTQ+ and ally space, so it's important that you are, too.
I'm open to sharing with ladies, gentlemen and those of you in-between or still deciding. I'm looking for anyone who is relaxed, mindful, sociable but independent and most importantly those looking for their home to be a chill and relaxing place to be. :) In the flat my previous cohabitatants and I have enjoyed each others company (and dinner) but have our own things going on as well and like our own space from time to time. Someone who wants the same kind of thing going on at home is most welcome!
There are some great neighbours here who we've enjoyed sharing a few drinks with at our local pub and they'll be dying to welcome y'all to the fold as well 😉
The rooms are available from 1st August and I'll be arranging viewings for the next couple of weeks.
Smokers are welcome, but not in the flat please. :)
