Description
This large double bedroom is available for sublet from May 9th-July 9th(ish) 9 weeks total (possibly 10 weeks)
The room is £950 a month including bills. Move in costs: Rent for first months stay or all upfront. Rent for remainder of stay due June 1st.
THE HOUSE: Classic Victorian house with hard wood floors and lots of space. The large kitchen gets loads of light, has a washer and loads of dryer racks, is well equipped otherwise and has a table for meals and working on the garden level. The actual garden out back is also wonderful for morning coffee or an evening drink with friends. The TV in the shared living room is set up with roku for movies and there is room to store a bike if needed.
THE ROOM: It's got a comfortable mattress (new, firm), a solid oak bed frame and linen drapes, a rug and a desk if you work from home. There will be space on the shelves behind the door for belongings and space in the wardrobe to hang and store clothes as needed. The room has a full length mirror, arm chair corner, wood floors with lots of character and has the benefit of being on the upper floor of the flat, separate from the other two bedrooms below. Bathroom is shared with one respectful and clean male who's 30.
LOCATION: Quiet residential road right in front of Stoke Newington Common. Minutes by foot to both Stoke Newington High Street and Church Street. Well-connected to the overground and multiple bus lines (5 minute walk to Stoke Newington overground, 10 minutes by bus to Dalston). The neighborhood is quiet during the day and friendly on weekends with a mix of young professionals and families occupying the neighboring homes. You'll be right across the street from Stoke Newington Common and in walking distance to Abney and Clissold Park.
YOU: Looking for someone friendly, respectful, drama free and who cleans up after themselves. This is definitely not a party house and would be a good fit for a young professional looking for a place to land while they visit London or look for longer-term housing. Must be someone who is clean, doesn't use toxic body sprays etc and is 100% not going to vape/smoke in the room, house or property. I keep my room clean from all toxic products and ideally would find someone who is in alignment with that lifestyle. Additionally, people who work out of the house will be prioritized as there are already flatmates who WFH here.
HOUSEMATES: Sharing and Sam, an economist from Scotland and Erik, an architect - both of which are super kind, friendly and work part time from home. About me: I'm a life coach and mental health educator. The house tends to be quiet during the work day (music is listened to on headphones) with friendly hellos and chats popping up in the common areas.
