Description
My flatmate is moving in with her boyfriend, so I'm looking for someone to take her room and renew the contract on 1st November.
The flat is just off Church Street near the Red Lion pub, close to plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as being just around the corner from Clissold Park. The flat is a 12 minute walk to Stoke Newington Station, 25 minute walk to Dalston Kingsland and 20 minute walk to Manor House Station. There are plenty of buses to Angel and Kings Cross too. There's also secure bike storage around the back of the building if you have a bike.
The room is a small double with a bed and wardrobe (other furniture belongs to my flatmate sadly, although she'd be up for selling the rug which is quite new to anyone interested). The room is probably best suited to someone that doesn't need to work from home every day due to its size. Although it isn't the biggest flat, we have made it really homely!
I work for a design agency and work a couple of days a week from home. I've lived in Stoke Newington for 7 years and love the area! I'm often out and about with friends or the gym, but do enjoy a few nights in cooking and watching TV during the week. This is not the flat for you if you're just looking for "a room", as ideally I'm looking for someone who I'll get on with who wants to hang out sometimes, have dinner and watch a series, have a glass of wine etc. My current flatmate and I just met through SpareRoom and have since become really good friends, so I'm looking for a similarly positive experience!
I like to keep the flat clean and tidy so am looking for someone who is after somewhere homely and not a party flat.
Rent is £925.
Council tax band C £73 each, internet £13 each, around £26-35 each for gas and electric (depending on the time of year), approx £50 per quarter each for water and one off payment for TV licence.
Details required from the landlord to be added. I am waiting to hear back from the agent about re-signing the lease. It is possible the rent may go up but hopefully not by much!
