Beautiful, spacious and bright room in Stoke Newington (3 min walk from Rectory Road station)

A lovely south-facing room overlooking the park will be available from 21st December (for the right person, there may be a little flexibility either side of this date.) The room includes a spacious IKEA PAX 6-door wardrobe but is otherwise unfurnished.

The house is big, bright and welcoming — with a huge living room, a separate kitchen that opens onto a leafy back garden, and a large bathroom with bathtub and toilet upstairs, plus a second toilet downstairs. There’s also a massive basement for extra storage.

We’re looking for someone ideally in their early to late 30s as you’ll be sharing with two kind and considerate housemates in the same age bracket — Lottie; a currently non-practicing actor but still working in the theatre, who you’ll usually find quietly curled up somewhere binging 00s tv shows. And Songsoo; an ex-chef who works in restaurants, who you’ll usually find concocting new recipes & food prepping from the farmers market.

We all have quite different schedules & independent lives, but share a sense of care for the home: we divide household chores, keep shared spaces feeling nice, and enjoy creating a calm, comfortable space & home to come back to is really important to us.

The house has a friendly, collaborative feel — it’s not a party house but one that values warmth, mutual respect, and a bit of daily ease. We keep communication open and considerate to voice our needs so that everyone feels at ease in the space. We’re looking for someone who ideally works a max of 2 days from home to keep this dynamic.

We’re a catch up for a tea in the kitchen kind of house, so we’re looking for someone with the same vibe & a sense of humour is a must!

We have cleaners come in every two weeks, and all bills (including cleaning and basic household supplies like toilet rolls, cleaning products, etc.) come to around £180–200 pp/month.
