Hello all!
Sadly, one of our lovely housemates is moving out at the beginning of March.
We live in a converted warehouse loft which is part of a courtyard of warehouses. The loft gets a huge amount of light and has a really nice spacious feel with beautiful wooden floors. It is very open plan with the main communal area separated into kitchen, dining area, living area and work space. Shared bathroom with a shower.
There is a ladder up onto the roof which has space for two people to perch with a cup of coffee on a nice day. We also have access to some outside space in the courtyard in which we can have BBQs and use our firepit during the summer.
The room is a double room that is mostly unfurnished but does include a bed if needed. The rest of the flat is furnished.
The rent, £917 and includes electricity. Other bills:
Council tax = paid up until April and then will be £20/25 per month.
Water = paid every 6 months
Gas = pay as you go meter, normally we top up £50 every month or 2 depending on the season
Internet = £8 per month
You would be living with 3 people. All of us are working professionals in creative industries, mixture of remote work and non-remote. We are all very active, cycling, gym, dance, bikepacking etc. Two of the household are professional musicians but are very respectful with practicing noise levels and hours.
Everyone in the house gets on really well and our house is pretty communal. We share most food and household goods and often cook for one another. We hold regular Friday night dinners for friends.
The cat in the photo is sadly no longer with us but we are considering adopting another feline friend in the future so we would like to live with someone open to living with pets.
We are looking for either an individual or a couple who would like to be part of a communal house. Happy to accommodate people who are working from home. Prefer not to live with smokers. Open to living with pets providing they have excellent character references.
