Description
The place:
2 bed 1 bath, separate kitchen & living room, balcony. Gets lots of beautiful light. Next to Clissold Park on a cul de sac street.
3rd floor, no lift. It’s the top floor, so it stays warm and quiet.
Room furnished with bed, wardrobe and bedside table, but previous flatmate willing to sell on the desk and chest of drawers. Bills are 100-150£ each. Council tax band D.
About me:
I’m Romanian, grew up in Brussels, have also lived in Berlin and been in the UK for the past 7 years. I work in the Civil Service on employment rights, and go into the office 2-3 days a week.
In my free time, I am out quite a bit - I do yoga, see friends, and like any kind of arts & culture, especially performing arts. I appreciate club culture and queer spaces, I love to dance and occasionally go to Unfold and similar parties.
However, I value home to be a quiet safe space to rest and always keep the party outside. If I have friend(s) over, it’s smaller gatherings and mindful of the other flatmate’s schedule.
What I seek in a flatmate:
This room would suit someone who values a peaceful and clean home that feels like a sanctuary from busy London.
Ideally you have a standard(ish) working pattern, are good at communicating openly, house proud, considerate and reliable. A cleaning schedule worked well so far, and I would like to continue this. I'm always open to discuss the details to make sure everyone is comfortable!
I am open to a new friend, if we click, and I find the idea of intentional community appealing. I love a deep convo and am keen to do stuff together sometimes. However, I also need time alone at home, so someone comfortable with giving each other space while fostering a warm and open atmosphere.
I have strong progressive/left wing views, and would like someone similar, and generally community-minded, queer friendly, etc.
Move-in date is flexible between 13 Jan - 28 Jan. There are 6 months left on the contract, but I intend to renew at the end. Landlord is flexible, we can discuss signing a fresh 12 month contract instead. The contract is direct with the landlord and we have a good relationship. He will want proof of employment/finances.
If you’re interested, please tell me about yourself, what you seek in a home and when you are available to move in. Planning to hold viewings in the evenings of 6th and 7th January.
