Description
Hi! I’m looking for a new flatmate to take the double room in a two-bed flat based in Stoke Newington, available from 20th December.
You’ll be sharing with me (Mollie) - I’m in my 20s, work in charity (2-3 days in office), and this will be my third year living here.
The flat is on the ground floor of a house, there’s one neighbour living above who has a separate front door, and it’s in a quiet/residential area. It has a large open plan kitchen/living area, a shared bathroom with a shower bath, and is equipped with a washing machine and dishwasher.
The bedroom is furnished with a large double bed, chest of drawers and mirror. It also has plenty of room for a desk and clothes rail/shelves, but these aren’t provided/you would need to bring those with you.
Rent is £800 a month, and bills come to around £180 a month pp.
In terms of transport/location, it’s a 7 minute walk to Stoke Newington overground, and generally well connected via bus & overground routes to most of north/east London. You can also get to the Victoria line from the overground or bus via Seven Sisters very easily. It’s a 15 minute walk to church street and 25 to clissold park, a great area for food, pubs and shops. There’s also a big Morrisons for groceries and a post office/off licenses very close by.
A bit more about me and the general vibe of the flat - I’d say I’m easygoing and pretty sociable. I like to keep the shared space tidy/clean so want to maintain that, but I’m generally quite relaxed and primarily want the flat to have a chilled and friendly vibe.
I enjoy getting out and about, but also love to use the space for having friends over for a book club, movie night or dinner & a glass of wine here and there, which you’d always be welcome to join! And more than happy for you to do the same - it’s a great space for it and always nice to meet new people. I do equally need chilled nights in and time to myself to recharge, so I’m generally looking for someone who is both social and values their independence, and who is looking for the same balance.
I’m primarily looking for a flatmate who is female or NB, around 25-30 and ideally also a working professional. If you’re interested get in touch and tell me about yourself!
