Hello! I’m looking for a flatmate to share my 2-bedroom, ground floor flat in Stoke Newington.

About the flat:
It’s newly refurbished, situated less than 5 min walk from Church Street and Stoke Newington High Street, with easy access to Dalston. The room is furnished with a king size bed and large wardrobe and has views onto a quiet side street. The flat is on the corner of the block, so gets lovely light from three sides and looks onto a shared garden at the back, with French doors / Juliette balcony in the living room. It has a shared bathroom with shower/bath. Underfloor heating throughout the flat.

I’m looking for someone who:
Is respectful of a shared space, and values a friendly, clean and tranquil home.
Is happy to participate in a regular cleaning rota.
Is independent but equally up for sharing some meals together now and again.
Up for a cuppa / chat / laugh
Values creating a tranquil, warm space where people feel comfortable.

About me:
I am originally from the USA, and have lived in the neighbourhood for 8 years. I love the variety of things that Stoke Newington offers, with amazing parks, cafes, restaurants and night life. I work from home regularly, but try and keep a pretty normal schedule, and don’t do too many late nights at this point in my life! The flat is not a party space but do love to bring people together for an occasional shared meal or hangout, and am happy for you to do this as well. I’m open to sharing the space with well-behaved pets, as I love animals. I work freelance at the moment, with a background in book publishing and food sustainability, and have recently training as a massage therapist.

Rent is £750 plus bills (around £150/month). Council tax is band B.

I’m looking to do an initial 3-month lease and very happy to extend if we are both content with the situation. I am also open to some short-term lets if of interest.
