Description
This room is available from December 15th for a min of 3 months or longer term. Poss a bit of flex on the date for the right person - ideally someone aged 35+ 😎.
Large bright furnished room with a double bed, shelves, two wardrobes, desk. There's also space for a chest of drawers and under bed storage. The pictures show a previous flatmate's layout, you can arrange as you wish. There is also a shared living room with TV, dining table and separate kitchen. The flat is on 2 levels which gives a nice feeling of space. There is space for bikes under the stairs.
We are an illustrator and an English teacher at a nearby secondary school. It’s a chatty but mellow atmosphere in the flat, we value our own space but enjoy living together - laughs are essential!
One of us loves to share meals so if you're up for a bit of co-cooking or sharing once or twice a week that would be a mega bonus to find in a flatmate, also a bit of TV/movie watching etc together / occasional board game perhaps would be nice if it works out that way - looking to create a home of likeminded people rather that just a flatshare. We don't have a rota but clean up after ourselves (dishes etc) pretty promptly to keep on top of things. When we're out we keep the bedroom doors ajar to keep the light /feeling of space flowing and so we know who's in ie home more than hostel vibes (Though privacy is of course respected!) We're quite eco minded and left leaning, enjoy a chat about what's going on out there. I've ticked LGBT preferred but it's not essential, the right fit is most important :)
Bills come to around £90/month currently, plus water is around £150 each per year. I've included bills in the rent though will collect them separately in case bills fluctuate so rent on it's own is £875pcm
Please get in touch with a little info about yourself. It would be really helpful to know your age, working patterns (e. g. full-time, part-time, wfh, hybrid etc :)
The flat is in Stoke Newington, close to Clissold Park and Church Street which has lots of nice shops and cafes. It is a short bus ride to Angel or Liverpool st, there are loads of good buses. Canonbury or Dalston Kingsland are about 15 min walk, Rectory rd about 10 min walk.
