Large, bright furnished room available in a lovely Victorian flat in Stamford Hill (N16), available for a 12-month let. I am going travelling for one year and you get to share with the best housemate ever.

The room is unusually spacious at around 400 sq ft with a large bay window and its own private entrance directly from the street. It does not share a wall with the other bedroom either - these elements give it a real sense of independence while still being part of the home. Although on the lower ground floor, it is bright and airy. It has a built in wardrobe and room for a desk.

The flat itself has very generous rooms and is split over two floors - giving the feeling of a house rather than a flat. It is fully furnished and has a separate living room, separate kitchen, shared bathroom and a beautiful recently developed garden.

Located a short walk from Stamford Hill Overground, close to Stoke Newington and around 15 minutes on foot from Manor House.

You would be sharing with me. I've lived here for six years and work in project management. It’s a friendly, calm and well-looked-after home - sociable but definitely not a party house. I've lived with the live-in owner Victoria and we look after one another, we chat, cook for each other and love a mix of trash TV and documentaries. I'm looking for someone who would contribute to the sense of community in the home. I'm 41, gay, work from home 1-2 days per week and work locally as a project manager.

We’re looking for someone clean, considerate and easy to live with - ideally a working professional who values a relaxed and respectful home environment.

Rent includes council tax, water and utilities. If electricity usage increases significantly beyond normal household levels, we would review this together. It does not include internet or cleaner.

I'm ideally looking to share with a male, but open to sharing with a woman if it felt right.

Available for 12 months, with the possibility of extending for longer.
