Double room in Stokey

Hello! Our lovely housemate Bruno is moving out as he’s bought his own place, so we’re looking for someone to take his spot in our homey 6 bed shared house

This is a stunning house. And people tend to stay for a while ((Bruno has lived here for 10 years!))

The room comes with a double bed (no mattress) and the wooden wardrobe. He’s leaving the TV, bedside table, and small bookshelf behind, and you can buy the sofa and white wardrobe for £40 each if you’d like them

The house is split over 4 floors with 2 bathrooms, an extra toilet, kitchen, lounge, utility room, and large garden. The room itself is big, with high ceilings and it’s a total sun trap (your plants will love it). It’s the first room as you enter the house, and the windows overlook the Main Street

It’s a real steal at £680 per month. ((We’ve just renewed our contract, so rent will go up by £62 in a couple of months, but there are no more rises until next year)) Bills are around £100 a month (less during summer), and we chip in £12.50 monthly to a kitty for shared household stuff like loo roll and cleaning products

Location-wise, you’re 5 minutes walk to Stoke Newington Church Street and 3 minutes to Rectory Road Overground, so it’s ideal for getting around

We all take part in a monthly cleaning rota to keep things nice and tidy, and we want someone who will also want to make this house a nice home for everyone :)

We’re ideally looking for a male housemate (28-42) to keep the gender balance

About us, we’re all busy professionals working in various sectors: advertising, tech, arts, urban planning. We’re all friends and we like to hang out together. We sometimes cook together, go to theatre, gigs. There’s no pressure to do anything as we’re all still very busy, but we want someone who’ll want to be part of the community
