Room available in a bright flat in Hackney

Hello! we are looking for a third housemate to join us in our beautiful three bedroom flat on Church Street, N16.

The room: The room is a good size double on the first floor at the back of the flat (no noise form the street). It comes mostly unfurnished apart for a double bed frame and shelves (optional). There is a wardrobe elsewhere in the house that could be used for this bedroom if wanted. It’s definitely available from mid-September, likely sooner. There is storage in the attic and space to store bikes inside. The flat is 20 minute walk to Dalston, less than half an hour to Kings Cross on the bus. Extremely close to beautiful Abney Park Cemetery and Clissold Park.

The flat: The living space is really bright and open. There is a big living room leading into a dining/work area through to the kitchen and then the patio out the back. There is a flight of stairs from the front door up to the flat, and a couple more steps from your bedroom & the bathroom up to the living space. Our bedrooms are up another flight of stairs.

Cost: The rent is £928/month. Bills come to around £150/ month each. We also share the cost of some food and household stuff on top of this, and we’re up for discussing what that looks like.

Us: We’re both 38, and not a couple! Reece is trans and does community organising inside and outside of work. I am a queer woman from Chile working in higher education. We enjoy having friends/ partners round. We have a very sweet cat called Shania who is a year old, we love her. Politics is important to us🇵🇸🏳️‍⚧️

You: Being queer and over 30 is essential! We’d like to live with someone who is up for creating a fun, relaxed, homely vibe with us. Someone who is up for some degree of communal living and hanging out together sometimes.
