Description
A large, south-facing double bedroom is available to rent from 1st September (but could potentially be a little earlier or few days later) in a large period property in Stoke Newington.
You would be sharing with Bridget, Jessye and Ettie – we didn’t know each other before moving here, but we’ve become great friends and enjoy spending time together but we also have our own circles outside. We are looking for a professional woman (age 30- 38) who is sociable, tidy and looking for a home more than just a houseshare.
THE HOUSE
The house is very spacious and comfy - it has a light airy living room with a lot of plants, good size kitchen, and one bathroom. We also have a lovely garden, which is perfect for summer evenings and great if you have a green thumb!
The (massive) double room that is now available is on the third floor, with two south-facing windows overlooking the street and park across the way. The rent is £815.35 per month, and bills are approximately £120 on top (but can go up over winter). The deposit is £778.75. The room comes partially furnished, with a desk, two pax wardrobes, and you have the option of purchasing the bedframe and mattress from our current flatmate.
We're on the Stokey / Dalston border, so we have Church Street and its cafes, restaurants and pubs a 10min walk one way, and Dalston's clubs and bars a 10 min walk the other way.
THE HOUSEMATES
Ettie (32), Speech and Language Therapist. Love to make things- sewing, cooking, jewellery making and many failed attempts at crochet. Love to swim at the lido and show off my recent Vinted bargains.
Jessye (33) jewish, queer/lesbian, Aries, cat lady (sans cat)! Working (mostly from home) for a gender-based violence charity. I love gardening (especially growing flowers from seed), occasionally perform as a super silly drag king 👑 Think Ilana from Broad City meets Tina Belcher!
Bridget (32) an artist/designer mostly working in film. I love hanging out watching movies, making things, drawing, painting, running, traveling and always up for a laugh and an adventure!
We all enjoy hanging out in the living room and watching TV after long days at work and have gone on a few camping trips/beach holidays together!
