Description
A lovely double bedroom is available to rent from w/c 21st October 2024 (but there's flexibility on move in date/you could move in a week or two later) in a large period property in Stoke Newington.
You would be sharing with Aoife, Jessye and Ettie – we didn’t know each other before moving here, but we’ve become great friends and enjoy spending time together but we also have our own circles outside. We are looking for a professional woman or non-binary person (age 27 - 35) who is sociable, tidy and looking for a home more than just a houseshare.
THE HOUSE
The house is very spacious and comfy - it has a light airy living room with a lot of plants, good size kitchen, and one bathroom. We also have a lovely garden, which is perfect for summer evenings and great if you have a green thumb!
The double room that is now available is on the second floor, with a window looking out over the garden. The rent is £628 per month, and bills are approximately £120 on top (but can go up over winter). The room comes unfurnished but you have the option of purchasing the bedframe and mattress from our current flatmate.
We're on the Stokey / Dalston border, so we have Church Street and its cafes, restaurants and pubs a 10min walk one way, and Dalston's clubs and bars a 10 min walk the other way.
THE HOUSEMATES
Ettie (31) is a speech and Language Therapist, working in a local hospital. I love to make things- whether it’s a new quilted vest, some hoop earrings, a lemon cake or a big plate of peanut noodles. Love to swim and run (well at least attempt to!). Love to discuss dating dramas and show off my recent Vinted bargains.
Jessye (32) jewish, queer/lesbian, Aries, cat lady (sans cat)! Working (mostly from home) for a gender-based violence and legal rights charity. I love gardening (especially growing flowers from seed), occasionally perform as a super silly drag king 👑 Think Ilana from Broad City meets Tina Belcher!
Aoife (28) American and working at a literary agency. When I’m not working I love tennis, cooking and running.
We all enjoy hanging out in the living room and watching TV after long days at work and have gone on a few camping trips/beach holidays together!
