Double room in bright 2 bed flat

Hello!

A good size double room with own toilet (shared shower) near Streatham Common is available. The room has a double bed, built in wardrobe and bedside table (desk and chair in pics will be removed). The flat is to share with one female flatmate. I'm looking for a non-smoking female professional preferably. No couples or pets. No FT remote workers.

The flat is on the first floor of a victorian house, it's lovely and bright and split into two floors. Downstairs is an open plan spacious kitchen, with black stone worktop, gas hob, electric oven, washing machine and big fridge freezer. Living room has a small kitchen table with 2 chairs and a comfy sofa (TV on pics is not staying); a nice shower room and the double bedroom available with window facing the neighbour's back garden. Upstairs is a small office room that can be shared a couple of days/week and the other bedroom (mine). I keep my bike in the entrance hall of the building, and can accommodate another bike if needed.

I am a professional working in sustainability, and have been living here for ~5 years. I value living in a tidy, positive and peaceful environment. I like meditating, nature, reading, dancing, music and spending time with friends. I am mostly veggie but don't mind sharing the space with others that aren't as long as they clean after themselves.

I'm looking for someone considerate and friendly, emotionally mature and able to communicate issues when needed. Hygiene and recycling are important. Cleanliness and tidiness are essential, as well as respecting the quiet hours (from 21.30). So preference for early birds. This is a peaceful home, no parties. Occasional dinner with friends ok.

The flat is 8 minutes walk from Streatham Common station with trains to Victoria, London Bridge and Clapham Junction. There is a Sainsbury 7 min walk, Lidl 10 min walk, bus stop is 5 min walk, Leisure Centre and Tesco Extra 15 min walk. Streatham Common is 10 min walk away and 15 min is the lovely Rookery Gardens.

The room is available from 1st November 2025. The rent is £850 per calendar month and the bills are about 160 each per month (council tax, fibre optic broadband, gas, electricity, water), though energy bill varies. There is a deposit of £850, you'll be added to the tenancy agreement that is direct with the landlord. You'll be expected to share the responsibilities for managing the bills of the flat, and have bills added to your name. Looking for someone who wants to stay at least 1 year. You will be required to provide references from work and previous landlord.

I am holding video call viewings first, and then in person viewings if appropriate.
