Huge double room in safe, friendly house share

huge double room available in chill, lgbt friendly zone 3 house that looks like it’s out of sylvanian families 🐰 £933.60pcm all bills included, available long-term from christmas day!

our lovely housemate is moving abroad, so we’re looking for someone with a uk guarantor to take over her contract 💗 you’ll be added to the joint tenancy which runs until august 2026 (with a break clause in june 2025) so looking for someone who’d like to be here long-term.

the house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room with a tv, a decent-sized kitchen, a big garden and a spare box room perfect for when friends visit. your room will be upstairs on the first floor and is the second largest room in the house! it comes with a desk, full-sized double bed and loads of inbuilt storage space. you’ll be paying £933.60 a month inclusive of all costs - rent, unlimited utilities, council tax, contents insurance, fast internet (works for wfh) and tv license.

the house is within a 20 minute walk of tooting broadway tube station (on the northern line), streatham overground and streatham common too - there are also buses to these stations from just down the road. the bus routes are especially convenient for travelling to places like elephant and castle, brixton and balham, but we’ve commuted further into central and even north london with no issues. we’re on a nice residential street next to convenience shops and an amazing greek wrap place, plus there are bigger grocery shops, cute cafes, really good charity shops, pizzerias (it’s actually crazy how easy it is to find good pizza in streatham), gyms and parks an easy walk away.

you’ll be sharing with:
- poppy, 19, law student who works in a cafe and dreams of going to the when we were young festival
- sam, 23, sports advertising professional and tv addict who might be the world’s biggest deal or no deal fan
- lottie, 22 (me), publishing grad, writer, and occasional music maker so if you want music or book recs you know who to ask :p

your work / education status doesn’t matter as long as you have a uk guarantor, can pass the letting agency’s referencing checks, can pay rent on time, are willing to pay council tax and are not a serial killer. we’re looking for someone who is lgbt friendly, is similar to us in age (19-25) and is tidy and considerate - we’re not clean freaks in the scary way but we do recognise the importance of taking care of the house together, especially the communal areas. we have our separate hobbies and social lives outside the house but we do like to socialise when we’re all free, so if you like pub quizzes or going to gigs or being better than all of us at fifa on xbox you will love it here. we like to have friends round, occasionally even a themed party, but it’s never chaotic (at least not in a bad way). just a chill, clean house share with creative and friendly people :)
