Hello, I’m Mark,
I am looking for a new flat mate 😊. My lovely friend who I have known for 15 years is moving out and flying solo.
I am in my 30’s and work full-time at a university and am in the office 2 days a week, and work from home 3 days a week. You would be sharing with a friendly and easy-going housemate. I enjoy going to the gym, playing tennis, and seeing friends and family.
Looking for someone who is independent, does their own thing, but also enjoys social time and is happy to chat and spend time together in the evenings. The apartment is a space designed for two and I am not looking for a housemate who has a partner or loved ones over more than once or twice a week.
The home
This Second-Floor apartment features:
- 2 double bedrooms
- Decked Balcony
- Modern Kitchen (with a dishwasher, and washer /dryer)
- Large Living room/reception (open plan kitchen, living and dining space)
- En Suite Shower room
- Communal bathroom
The room available is an ensuite double room.
The neighbourhood
The house is situated in a well-connected neighbourhood on a residential street just off the high road with plenty of shops, cafés, and gyms nearby. The apartment block and the surrounding area is also very quiet.
Transport
It is an 8-minute walk to Streatham Hill station offering routes to Victoria or buses to Brixton in 15 minutes.
It is a 13-minute walk to Tulse Hill station if you need to get to Waterloo and London Bridge. There is also a Bus (P13) that goes to Tulse Hill if you need to get there quicker!
Rent
Total rent is £2027 per month. The en-suite room advertised is £1,127 per month (and the tenancy would be for 12 months with a 6 month break clause, requiring 2 months notice in advance)
Bills
- Council Tax (Lambeth): £171
- Electric (Octopus): £126.72
- Water (Thames Water): £56
- Internet (Plusnet): £30
- Cleaner (Get Set Clean): £92.40 (comes twice per month for 2 hours and happy to negotiate on this if preferred).
Monthly bills are split equally and come to £238 each in total.
We would each be responsible for managing a few of these providers and paying the associated bills, and we would add these to the Splitwise app and pay the difference to each other monthly which makes this really simple and easy.
Agency
The agency have asked that the tenant has a full-time, permanent job and can cover the referencing criteria by earning a minimum of £35,000 a year. You would be required to go through the usual tenancy checks and referencing.
