Furnished double bedroom on Greenland Dock

PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION:

This room is fully furnished with a double bed + mattress, chest of drawers, desk, and wardrobe.

**I will be taking all my belongings out so that it can be completely empty - there is potential to leave plants if agreed with/wanted by subletter on the condition that plants are watered every 2 weeks.

The room has big windows looking onto the street, but still feels very private as we are on the 3rd floor and the trees in the centre of the street block any view into the other side. The big windows allow lots of natural light in, especially during the summer months.

The downstairs bathroom is right beside the room, and access to kitchen/living area is straight opposite. This makes it easy to grab food/water late at night without disturbing anyone and easy access to the toilet.

FLAT INFO

- Medium sized double bedroom in a 6 person spacious flat overlooking Greenland Dock in Surrey Quays.

- It’s a 6 person flat which spans over two floors. There are 3 bedrooms on the upstairs floor and 3 bedrooms on the bottom floor.

- There is 3 bathrooms, 2 showers and 2 baths.

- On the bottom floor there is a large shared kitchen / living area with big bay windows looking straight out onto Greenland Dock.

- Dishwasher, washing machine and dryer included.

- WiFi is included in the rent price.

- Bills will be negotiated for shorter term sublets as they are paid monthly (we have been having some issues with our providers so I will give a flat rate instead of the actual cost since it has been much higher than usual) but for 1 month it will be around £55.

- We have recently just had new fire alarm system refit, the kitchen has just been modified to have more counter space, more cupboards and a brand new stovetop/oven/grill put in so everything is working perfectly.

**This sublet will include 1 large cupboard and 1 medium sized fridge with internal freezer compartment.**

FLATMATE INFO

- There are 5 other flatmates that live in this flat. They are all creatives, musicians and artists who also work in hospitality and freelance.

- This is a social flat, however over the summer the flatmates are coming and going more than usual with various summer plans so expect some days to yourself and others with a more social environment.

- The age range is 21-25 within the flat.

- Two of the rooms upstairs belong to a couple.

- 4 out of 5 of the flatmates are queer/non-binary so potential subletter MUST be LQBTQ+ FRIENDLY.

(Smoking is allowed inside with windows open.)

AREA INFO

- 15 minute walk from Canada Water Station (jubilee and windrush line)

- 10 minute walk from Surrey Quays station (windrush line)

- There is a pub on the corner a 1 minute walk from the flat. It’s a Fullers pub called the Moby Dick with waterfront seating and live music (one of the flatmates plays regular jazz gigs there on Fridays)

- The nearest wetherspoons is just a 10 minute walk from the flat, lovely outside area and great option for a cheap pint with mates or an easy dinner.

- 2 corner shops are just a 30 second walk from the flat, an offlicense and a general store with inpost available.

- There is a Nisa Local 5 minutes walk from the flat.

- A huge Tesco superstore is just a 10 minute walk from the flat situated in Surrey Quays shopping centre alongside other various shops and cafes

- It’s also just a 20 minute walk to Lidl.

- The flat is just around the corner from a huge ecological park and the Russia Dock Woodlands which is a lovely place to have picnics, hang out with friends, go on a run or just to walk around. There is also a viewing point within the park called Stave Hill which is gorgeous and a great place to watch the sunset.

- There are restaurants and cafes on Surrey Quays high street which is a 10 minute walk away.

- Overall the area is quite residential, so not noisy at all and very safe. I’m a young woman who frequently walks home from the station late in the night after working late and for the 2 years that I’ve lived here nothing has happened to me or any of my flatmates :)
